Well done to them for listening to the voice of common sense.

Same goes for the car engine noises.

and it's not really a complete buff if they reduced it to 4 seconds now, is it?

When the rework dropped it absolutely was.

The original range of 96 meters is OK for some maps, but on maps like Ormond it wouldn't give you the original effect of being alerted at the very start of the game about anybody who spawned in a pair on a gen if they were on the opposite corner of the map.

More importantly, the initial version of Discordance had a massive bug. It only triggered if the survivors started a co-op repair within range. If they were already doing it before you got close enough, it did jack #########.

The Bug aside (I dont count Bugs to Balance), the 96 meters were no big problem. They mostly were in effect when you were on one side of the map and the Gen on the complete opposite site. Most people said that the change was not noticeable.

But I know, it could be understood as a Killer Nerf, so something got "gutted" again.

It's a good thing to see that they keep a close eye to recently changed perks and aren't afraid to revisit.😀

I wouldn't say Discordance was gutted. Tier 3 was still most of the map. It was really Tier 1 and Tier 2 that were hurt the most and the buff here is allowing them to be usable at the lower tiers in case someone hasn't gotten T3 discordance yet.

The aura fade off being 4 seconds is also much appreciated, because it's closer to how old discordance function practically.

Now if only they would fix Pop after gutting it.

It was never gutted in the first place, honestly. This is just a nice change to make Tier 1 in particular more viable.

The buff to the range does almost nothing, 96m was good enough for almost any range in the game. But that extra buff it got to update auras every 4 seconds instead of 8 is actually a pretty nice change. This is exactly how BHVR should be changing perks, a handful at a time and it seems like they're starting to do that now. Which is good.
