issue with adding a friend on crossplatform
I play on steam and my friend plays on Xbox but for some reason me nor her can add each other as a friend. She can only decline or block my friend request but when she tries to add me I never get the friend request. Its been about a week since we have been trying to add each other and we still get the same problem. We have tried to see if anyone has had this issue but we haven't seen anyone else with the same problem.
We have tried everything we could think of and me and her just don't know what to do at this point and we are open to suggestions.

Then you've joined the broken squad. Been like this since Oct 16 but if you unlink you're account to fix it you lose any progress since linking the account and normally all currency you currently have. You can only workaround by hoping you have a steam friend that hasn't linked their account.
It's a pain in the you know and I have no idea why they aren't updating anyone on this issue. Kinda sucks man

Ah man that really sucks we haven't heard of anyone else with this issue before I didn't realize that this has been a problem since Oct 16.

It is because xbox can only add friends on xbox, pc aka steam only add friends on pc. They are two differnet platrforms cross platform does not change the fact only xbox friend list :( also can not message a pc player from xbox. For this to work xbox would have to allow to add players from steam. Hope this helps :)
