Allow for random or user selected lobby background at startup
It would be fun if the game allowed for randomized or user selected backgrounds on the startup and character selection screens. The game has a whole bunch of various backgrounds its used related to events and new characters (e.g. the Silent Hill background with the creepy bodies in cages, the Blight background with the pestila flowers, the Halloween event background with the jackolanterns, etc). Being able to select any of those backgrounds in the options menu or maybe selecting a “random background at startup” option would be a cool way to see a variety of backgrounds when you play, or just have a background you are really fond of.

I think the devs like having control over the lobby theme so they can influence you to buy the new battle pass, chapter, etc.

I get that, and obviously they could make it so that when a new theme is available it applies it by default for instance. But there are plenty of times when there is no special theme, like now for example, and letting people see some of their old themes is also a way to help the players reminisce about things they enjoyed in earlier chapters.

Indeed. I'd probably be going back and forth between the 2018 Hallowed Blight theme and the Silent Hill theme. And I'd enjoy checking out some of the ones that came out before I started playing. It feels like such a waste that these cool themes come out and are then gone forever.
