Small reminder: chat isn't active for a person until they're in the post-game screen.
PC only, obviously. But if you're typing something as soon as you die, only people who are dead can read that. If you type gg, and I get into the end-game lobby 30 seconds later, that message will never pop up for me.
I assume most people know this, but I've noticed when watching a few Twitch VODs that people will often type something to someone who won't ever be able to see it, and usually (USUAAAALLY) it's something nice, so... just lettin' ya know!

Post game chat is an absolute effort in futility. Your better off closing the lobby and joining a new match to grind more bp / shards.

End game chat is pointless.
Back before they implemented end game chat a bunch of us were saying there's no point to it. On steam, if you had survivors/killers you gelled with, you added them as friends.
90% of end game chat is trolling and 'gg'.

That has not been my experience at all. Perhaps it's telling that that's all you see? A lot of my in-game chat is talking about the match or how good someone is. I don't add random people I had a good match with to my friend's list, that would be a quick way to a bloated, pointless friends list. I can't even imagine how annoying that is.

So the people that die early in a match have to sit around and wait for the match to end before they can insult the killer? This player base has more losers than I originally thought. Who has the time for that? 🤣

From a single match of a single game? Yes. I use my friend list for actual friends I have made over several years, not because I wanted to say "nice 360 dude" to some guy and then we never speak again.

That is exactly correct. They have to type up their message, and wait for the match to end before hitting enter. So they literally sit there like angry toddlers the entire time.

I've reread everything you said. Nothing about my replies needs to be changed, except that I might add that you definitely seem like someone I wouldn't want bloating my friend list.
