Haven't seen a single cheater in many months, anyone else?

I don't know what some people are talking about, it has been quite a long time since I have seen a single cheater. Others say it is once a week. Has anyone seen a cheater lately? If so, please provide a screenshot.

One last week, I was playing killer matches, survivor hacker with unlimited HeadOn kept me stunned in the shack forever lol. I took it about 30 times before I decided to take the DC penalty, not being able to move and all.

I haven't seen a cheater in at least a year or two and I play insane amounts. Most these posts are newer players that mistake perks/addons/generally being unobservant of their positioning and scratch marks for someone "cheating".

That is exactly what happens most of the time lol, especially with the "all seeing" addon on wraith. Newer players assume hax.

It did have me giggling a bit. I’m not extremely tech saavy, but I know a bit. I understand how they’d bypass the exhaustion, but how they ignored the 3-second charge baffled me.

Im pretty sure I had a couple of team mates last week with unlimited insta heals.

They were pretty careful not to make it obvious in front of the killer. But as I was on their team they didnt care so much if I seen them.

I wasnt 100% sure but it was extremely suspicious.

I also didnt care enough to waste my time reporting it. I know that isnt the right mentality but its far too much effort to report hackers. The game should record each match (or at least the actions of players) and discard the data if nobody reports in post-game.

I have seen a Huntress that made it at least somewhat believable, but having seen the steam profile I am certain it was a cheater, and one survivor that was completely invulnerable and could fly and go through walls.

I guess I have seen 10 Cheaters total in over 5000 hours of gameplay. So they are rare.

A few weeks ago, I encountered a Cheating Huntress (still felt the need to use Iri Head), she had a Speedhack. And a Survivor, who seems to be messing with the Server, because everytime he was nearby (like in a Chase) the whole Server freezed for 1 second. Was noticeable for me as Killer and for other Survivors as well (had a talk with another player in Postgame Chat).

And quite a long time ago I had like 4 Cheaters in two weeks. Survivor Perks on Killer (Billy with Kindred); Speedhacks, Offerings which should not be possible (3rd year Anniversary Cake on Zarina)...

But overall, pretty low amount of Cheaters, so they are not common at all.

My personal highlight was a speedhacking Ash against an Oni. He was only speedhacking a little bit, if I had to guess, he was moving at 105%, 108% at max... It looked odd for me, because that Oni looked slow, but the Survivor was only fast. Despite hacking, that guy died - which should show how bad he was.

I think it was the weekend before last. Insane Speed boost, Instant heals from slug (to full health) and/or injured. An instant blind flash light that kept the blind and physically left me stuck in the stun for extended periods of time including the last full minute of the match. It was two hackers and one of them had a name pointing to the fact they were confident that the killer would disconnect.

They were blatant about it and trolled the whole match, but both stayed until the entity killed them and made jokes about how I did really well getting a 2k in the end game chat and that at least I got a lot of points.

Once and only once, when crossplay just started and a fellow survivor ended up floating around the map...it was interesting.

I had killer other day where hits were normal until I destroyed his ruin totem and there were 2 gens left. As soon as that happened all of a sudden he was getting hits on survivors that were not only far away but on opposite side of vaults/walls, he had to search for their downed bodies they were so far from where he was.

I can only think of a single example where I may have seen a hacker ( I’m on ps4 but i always have crossplay on for better matchmaking) i was facing a Zarina who seemed unnaturally fast. Perhaps it was a very subtle speed hack or perhaps the running animation was simply being a bit janky due to lag. It took me a while to catch them but eventually I was able to down them by landing a shot through a wall ( i was playing pyramid head) and they instantly DC’d, lol. They seemed hella sus with the running animation but I’m not 100% sure it was hacks (they had the crossplay icon btw). Other then that though never seen hacking, unless it was so subtle that I didn’t notice.

there is black market of stolen accounts that use cheaters unrespectfully and eventually got banned massively

as far as I know the anti-cheating engine received a major update that is complicating the injection of code, so there are less hackers

Actually, I can't remember the last time I faced a hacker. So hooray for that.

Depends what we're calling cheating, tbh.

Hacking? Maybe 1/2 in the last few months.

VPNing for an unfair advantage? I play EU server, so a good 15-20% of the killers I face are VPN from all over the world.

I did, however, watch an interesting series of events on CoconutRTS's stream; he uploaded the video, too. Someone had hacked in legacy and was basically trying to break the game, speed hacking, etc, and when you tried to view their profile, it would just link to No0b3's profile, rather than the one they were on, so you couldn't even report them properly.

    It's been years for me.

Achievement hackers are still present though, successfully got one banned ~4 months ago.

faced a cheater recently and reported him, had video proof too, it was a pyramid head with increased mms and cooldown on attacks. he was rank 4 and played like a rank 21 so guessing he ranked up fast with cheats and is hopefully banned or removed from the game. He purposfully made his mms and cooldown increased so you wouldnt know if he cheated or not if you were new to the game.

Just recently ended a friendship over someone revealing they are regularly using a hacking tool to get shards and unlock cosmetics, but said it's okay because they don't use the speed-hack feature etc of the same tool...

If legacy hacking counts as cheating, I've seen one like a month ago. Nothing else though.

I have had 2 so far. Speed hacker on video about 3 weeks ago and a guy who took a leatherfaces' chainsaw up the ass with all 3 charges while unhooking someone and took 0 damage.

    EDIT:

Since i don´t know how the mods might react to people describing the hacks they saw, i think its better to not go to much into detail, until a mod says otherwise.

I don´t want to risk a ban for talking about this.

Most recent cheater I saw was before crossplay was introduced, a legacy claudette hacked their way onto PS4 servers (the platform I play on) and had all kind of cheats. She was flying, insta healing, you name it. Me and the other players including the killer who were all PS4 were pretty baffled to say the least.

EDIT (sorry for crappy image. This was BEFORE cross play was even announced).

Well just today had 4 claudettes that I couldnt pick any of them up, not sure what caused that. but prior to that it was like 2 maybe 3 months ago.
