Anyone else worried that they're taking away the map color filters?
Macmillan lost it's character to me, it looks cool and all but the blue filter added something to it.
Looking at the autohaven concept art it looks like the green filter is going away too.
Why take away something that makes the maps more unique and colorful?

Don't worry, you can get really weird lookin grass on Autohaven now!

Cool, I can be even more blind as blight now

Oh god, yeah I don't like that the grass is just that tall on the reworked maps. Especially as someone who mains blighty boi.
But hey, if I ever decide to meme and put a map offering with my P3 Claudette and that stealthy build, I'll have 2 new options! ;)

You say that like you can see over vaults as blight

In general he can't see over most loops that other killers can. Which really gives survivors more mind games against him than they could against the regular height killers.

My main complaint is that it'll all look the same, like how macmillan is just plain boring grey.
To me the color filters give the realms identity, like how the yamaoka estate has it's red filter. Or how badhan has it's deep purple.
I don't understand making the original realms more neutral while keeping the filter color of those two

Next is the 3rd overhaul, no?
After 3 overhauls, you can probably make that conclusion if it happens again.
If it doesn't, then don't make the conclusion yet that they'll take it away, but wait for the next overhaul.

Overall I'm glad they're changing the maps but they should keep a little bit of that tint just a little.

I'm glad they are changing the color. In order to make a more scary and intense game these maps need to be darker and grittier.

greenish yellow grass

They all just look like they're in same realm, not different ones. Definitely a bummer they're losing their individuality.

I hope so, otherwise every remade map is going to look the same.

Am I the only one who didn't really care all that much for the color filters? Personally I thought they were neat but I didn't care all that much when they were removed.

I swear, this grass is so damn ugly on Macmillan.
And it doesn't even make any sounds when you walk through it >:(

I don't care about the tints personally. And no, I don't think the maps look the same since the major permanent features of the maps are completely different. Just because there's no blue tint on MacMillain doesn't mean I can't tell right away that it's the Coal Tower versus Badham or the Cornfields, etc. In fact, with those structures spruced up, they're even easier to tell apart.

The atmospheric colors really sets the tones on maps. The Blue of mothers dwelling gives it a cold, damp felling. Dead Dawg Saloon has a nice dusky sandy tone to it which fits.
I hope they keep some colours, or at least add them back later. It added to the surrealistic vibe they were going for much better than full bright high contrast HD white light that washes everything out.

Couldn't have said it any better. The tint/color grading was indeed giving the maps a lot of atmosphere and identity. Something I definitely do miss on McMillan now.
I feel like this a great screenshot to display the color grading of Autohaven, Screenshot is not up to date, but it does capture the soul of it so nicely.

I could never put what I was thinking into words, but that is exactly it.
Taking away the filters really takes away from the identity of the realms.

I don't like how the maps become more generic when they get updated. It's disappointing how much MacMillan looks like Springwood. As more maps feel the same, the easier it becomes for matches to feel repetitious and tiresome.

Note that there are obstacles that being reused from realm to realm: Haddon field house in SpringWood, MacMilan big tank-track in Autoheaven, Autoheaven car in SpringWood.

I embrace the removal of the colors. Made me feel like I was playing a game with PS2 level atmosphere.

Good visual representation of what I'm worried about. I don't see how people aren't worried about every realm being the same boring grey color. With the only distinguishing thing about the map being the main building and killer shack.
