New chapter teaser is giving off STRONG until dawn impressions
So first off it's simply the color and look of the hand that slashes the screen. It's grey and clawed just like the wendigo from until dawn also keep in mind that the next chapter is very likely to be licensed because the devs want to do 2 OG and 2 licensed chapters a year.
Next is the background which is in the woods now that isn't very strong evidence but the setting for Until Dawn is also in the woods.
The final thing we have for a clue is the noise made, it sounds VERY similar to the scream of the wendigo in Until Dawn. Notice the vibrating in the voice and while the pitch and length isn't the same that can be expected what matters is the similarity.

now i know they sound different however it is not unthinkable that the entity got a person who was in the middle of turning into a wendigo and stopped the transformation process which could explain why it sounds more human than what is in the video.
Now for arguments of the wendigo not being in dbd the first thing that comes to mind is fact that the wendigo is blind. however that in itself is a pretty interesting mechanic to explore mainly because unlike other killers the wendigo is extremely fast and agile so in exchange for not seeing survivors it could be very fast and maybe even have a low TR. we know that the entity can alter abilities like with freddy and also grant powers so its not unthinkable that the entity can give the wendigo a way to find survivors like with echolocation or being able to see survivors close to it, or maybe even provide it knowledge of the map before hand so it doesn't bump into objects.
This is of course all speculation no need to hate me or argue it's fun to guess and all we can do is that until the chapter is announced.

I think it's a Wendigo, just not... The Until Dawn Wendigo. Sony and PS4 are infamously very, very protective of of their property. Besides, I just don't see BHVR adding a killer from a PS4 exclusive game. It'd be cool though

1) konami isn't exactly known for being lenient with their IPs and they got Silent Hill so... there's that.
2) Left4Dead is a PC exclusive game and they managed that very early on so I don't see platform limitations being an issue.

BHVR seem to be focusing a lot on characters from other video games as of late so this makes the most sense to me.

Hate to be a killjoy, but if the difference is noticeable enough that you need to make up an explanation to account for the difference, it's probably more likely that your speculation is off.

Konami hasn't been exactly loved these past few years, and there's heavy rumor's of a Silent Hill remake on PS5. Maybe it's just the realist in me, but I think Konami only added Silent Hill to get the name known again. Sony doesn't like to share their toys. Silent Hill is an older game, and while Until Dawn is old as well, I don't see them giving that away anytime soon. I think games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Detroit: Become Human is just Sony tying to get some of their games on PC, but those are far newer than Until Dawn is.
Bill wasn't on PS4 and X-Box one for a long time of the game's lifespan. They only added him after they worked out a deal with Valve. I don't know much about Valve, but they seem a lot more relaxed compared to Sony.
I think an Until Dawn chapter would be awesome, I just don't want people to hype it up in case it isn't that. There's literally no evidence of it being an Until Dawn chapter, other than some similar themes. People hyped up Demo possibly getting a re-work, when there was no evidence of it happening other then them just talking about Stranger Things. If it is Until Dawn, I'll eat my words, I just don't see it.

Left 4 Dead was exclusive to PC and Xbox. And even then we didn't get Bill on consoles till or year or more after he had already been on PC.

Honestly I didn't like the games interpretation of The Wendigo, it didn't fit the Native american lore or description, and honestly they just looked like Golem or the Rake. Overall it didn't say Wendigo at all instead, it said Rake that's it.

If I may contradict that, remember that we've had exclusive killers and survivors, I'm unsure if SH is on xbox but Bill is from Xbox and PC, L4D has never been on PS afaik.
But I do not believe it's a wendigo from Until dawn, the noise that they make it's very different.

Game licenses clearly cost less than movie licenses so I don't think it's far-fetched at all to think that it wouldn't be until dawn. Not only do you have a killer that you have survivors that would fit really well into DBD.

No other licensed chapter has gotten a teaser like this. Typically they're all very outright and showing exactly who is to come. In this it's very secretive, only just hearing the footsteps and seeing the killer's forearm. Also, with the exception of it happening to just Pig during her chapter, there is no licenses listed at the end or anywhere else in the trailer. Could be a wendigo, but likely not an Until Dawn wendigo.

I don't think it's a Wendigo from what I've read and playing Until Dawn these creatures usually hunt in colder climates ,the trailer doesn't allude to that,but we can't see the ground or the top of tree's .If we exclude The Wendigo,Rake,and Witch L4D we're left with a Vampire or (Werewolf in mid change)could be still transforming but who knows man.

I have literally just finished filming my reaction and theory to the first teaser for YouTube and I had the exact same thoughts! I'm glad I'm not the only one, I felt kinda stupid while filming in case I was a small minority and had people coming for me.

Only teaser I can find fully shows Pig and reveals her at the end, unlike this one that is extra secretive. Can't find one trailer for her chapter that doesn't show her.

This is the second time in the last year that 'Until Dawn Mania" has over taken the DBD community. (The first time was when we first thought the Legion chapter was gonna be Until Dawn because the Ormand teasers looked a lot like the Lodge in Until Dawn, AND Kate's hiking cosmetic that came out during that time made her look A LOT like Ashley from Until Dawn.)
If anything, this proves that there is a huge desire from the community to have a Chapter Based on Until Dawn. The Devs would be fools to not at least TRY to get the license.

I stand corrected, you are right. But, the words at the end aren't hard to guess they mean Saw. This one has little to nothing going for it in reference to it being licensed.

These mentions aren't to say it's not Wendigo, i'm just sharing my thoughts here.
The arm in the teaser looks like it's got more fat, the Wendigo's arms always look like they retreated all the way to the bone.
The scream is also...less ferocious?
I Platinum'd Until Dawn, and i don't recall such a scream, it was either always some regular growling, or it was the ear-deafening screeches.
I would personally like a Wendigo Killer, but i wonder what they're gonna do.
The Wendigo is incredibly mobile, both horizontally and vertically.
Regular Killer's vaulting speed will look so ridiculous on Wendigo.
Wendigo can also seemingly scale most walls with ease, but that would break DbD's balance big time.
