This is definitely not Until Dawn.
All licensed DLC refer to the cult series of games and films, which can potentially also receive sequels in the future, respectively, an additional profit in the future for BHVR, a mutual benefit.
Until Dawn is a PlayStation exclusive that most haven't played, released 5 years ago, which has received almost no further development of the series and may not receive any more sequels ever. + The monsters in this game do not fit into the DBD mechanics.
But they know how to do so that you would think about someone else (hype) and almost never guess who the real killer is before the start of PTB, this has happened many times.
I just saw a lot of comments under the teaser and a few here.

Also I have noticed they never make teasers for licenced chapters, only Original ones. So safe to say absolutely nobody knows what this thing is. Very excited to see how she plays, might be a fun one.

Reasons why I don't think it's a until dawn chapter.
1. The sound that the teaser had did not match a wendigo.
2. Wendigos only see through sound (I know it doesn't make sense unless you played until dawn)
3. How wendigos move will not match dbd unless they just make it a normal killer that doesn't climb on walls etc.
4. If anyone remembers UD then the killer will have to be a 4.6 and 1 shot potential.
5. Just like many know, sony does not like sharing licenses.
6. For some reason it gave me more of a witch from l4d vibe.
Just my opinions but we can just wait for the PTB.

It could be the folklore wendigo, not the Until Dawn Wendigo. The idea of a wendigo is still plausable. Until Dawn did not create Wendigos...Wendigo.

I have no opinion about whether it's Until Dawn, but in fairness to Supermassive Games -- they and their series didn't just disappear. They're releasing anthology games every year or so (similar format to Until Dawn, but different story and characters each time, kind of like American Horror Story), and the newest one just came out.

When the shutdowns started I ordered a ps4 just for FF7 remake. After I beat that game I went on a binge of playstation games I missed. Until Dawn was one of them and I thought it was interesting. The thought had crossed my mind the trailer could be a wendigo from that game but I highly doubt it. If BHVR was going to make another licensed killer they would pick something people are familiar with to draw a larger crowd. That's the purpose of being licensed, attention. If your going to go through the trouble of splitting your profits it makes sense you would want an IP that is widely known.

I do not believe, the new killer is licensed to be honest! Yet, it seems to hint at the possibility of a female Windigo killer; that attacks on 4 legs! So it hard to understand! Regardless, I like concept of a possible Ambush based killer

Its received two sequels, one of which just came out.
The wendigo shriek is identical to the sound in the trailer.
I'm not particularly happy with it, but it seems to be the most likely fit.
