Would adding a compensation for playing vs swf make the game better in your opinion ?

I know that this would just be a bandaid fix, but after having returned to the game after a hiatus, there still isn't any incentive, why you'd want to play against swf groups. Swf continues to be an issue in the game, as it can't be balanced around and it is definitely one of the causes for the atrocious matchmaking, I experience on a day to day basis.

Adding something like bonus BP for enduring the issue, would ofc not fix it, but it would give killers, especially newer ones, an incentive to accept the challenge and come out of the game more satisfied, even if they got stomped, because while they had to face survivors 10 lvls above their rank with thousands of hours played more than them, they still made some progress.

    I don't want compensation; I want a level playing field. I would like to see Solo and Team play in two ques. Just like Survivor and Killer, I expect most of us would play in both, i.e. with our team when logistics allowed, and Solo when not. I think that the Team play should require an additional Generator to power the gates and a 5th Perk be unlocked for a Killer. *This would be a good test for the start.

    The problem isn't compensation. I don't need Scooby Snacks to play the game. I simply want the SWF 5th Perk (Comms) to be balanced.

    I honestly can't see the separate queue idea working. I feel like many killers wouldn't want to play against swf, without any additional incentive, because it's undeniably harder and more stressful most of the time.

    The queue would likely be quite starved of killers and that would lead to unacceptable queue times for those, who'd like to play with their friends I'd imagine. For that to work you'd have to balance the game around swf as you've already mentioned (hard to do) AND make it as attractive as the solo queue for killers.


    Edit: If you have an idea, why you'd play the swf queue as a killer tho I'd be happy to let you expand my horizon

    I think adjusting the matchmaking to rate groups that include swfs higher than groups that are solo is the way to go. Basically that puts swfs against relatively tougher killer players than if those survivors are all solo which hopefully helps makes the match results a bit more even overall.

    The issue lies in the skill gap between players. There are sweat squads in the game. I get killers receiving some form of compensation for dealing with those groups. But then there are also the random groups of friends that just want to mess around and have fun. Killers don't need anything when going against these groups.

    People don't want compensation for playing an un-fun game, they just want to play a fun game.

    They just need to buff solo play to SWF level by implementing in-game VOIP and then power up killers.

    Then you have 2 different queues for solo players that either want to use the VOIP and those that dont. Those that do are treated as a SWF. This should be the ranked form of the game and solo, no VOIP ideally would be best for the new players and those that play casually.

    There will be no balance until the SWF advantages are made AVAILABLE to all survivors to either opt in, or out of, thereby shifting the responsibility to survivor players away from the devs. This allows the devs to then focus on developing the game beyond its current limitations around balance and make the appropriate changes to game mechanics and addressing fundamental flaws within killer game play.

    SWFs have a 5th perk (comms), why can't the killer have a 5th perk?

    Having comms is an advantage, therefore, a perk.
