Toxic Content Creators
Once upon a time, there was a content creator who sparked a series of Toxic Survivor memes. This person is no longer with us as far as I know, and for good reason - the behavior and conduct contributed to a toxic environment where fun was to be had solely at the expense of others.
Unfortunately, the spirit and attitude remained in the community. There are active and former Fog Whisperers that are famous for deranking with their 4 man in order to bully and humiliate inexperienced players for the enjoyment of their audience, for insulting and belittling Killers for any reason they can think of, for provoking players to get a reaction out of them in order to get them banned while they themselves enjoy the protection of mods.
These people even have the audacity to claim their victims were sensitive whilst being on a non-stop complaining and moaning fit themselves. If it wasn´t for real, I´d happily have a good laugh about this prime example of entitlement. It´s sad and disappointing. There are examples of Fog Whisperers and Mods that are genuinely decent or even wholesome. At this point, the bar for decent behavior is so low that basically everything seems to be endorsed by the community team, except calling this kind of stuff out. Favoritism hurts the community.
I have two questions:
1) For the team: Why does behavior support this kind of people? Is such despicable conduct really what you want DBD to be known for?
2) For their viewers: Why do you watch this kind of content? Why do you enjoy the public humiliation of people that are just trying to have a good time with DBD? Do you just not care or do you wish you had the guts to be a bully yourself?

You didn't name anyone, you didn't shame anyone.
How long before a CM removes your post for naming and shaming?

Won't be long mate... All of our posts from our community have been taken down for "naming and shaming." Even though in our posts you can clearly read... "not going to name anyone.."

"Not going to name anyone, just going to give out such specific, identifying information that everyone will know exactly who it is".
The "name" in "name and shame" also refers to information that can identify individuals, not just their literal name.

Then this thread should stay up, because nothing like that was done by anyone in it.

Except the OP, in the very first line.

I don't know who he's talking about and googling it just got me a bunch of reddit and forum complains about toxic survivors. So I would say nobody has been named or shamed if a simple google search won't give results.

Because you're too new. Anyone who's been here for a couple years knows exactly whom the OP is referring to.

Agree to disagree mate, I'd say only the truly invested would care. Just like this current problem we have, the silent majority likely doesn't know anything about the toxic content creators plaguing us now or the ones that have in the past. But even if I accept your argument, wouldn't it be simpler to just edit out that part of the post instead of deleting the entire thread?

I don't know how the mod interface works, but I do know that people have complained about the mods "editing their comments" when all they did was move a thread.
OP can still edit it, though, assuming they even see this discussion again before the mods delete it.

Why would they delete it though? My descriptions are so vague that you´d have to be intimately familiar with DBDs history to even make an educated guess about what I´m referring to.

You know what. At this point, I think it's better to just edit the post and remove anything that alludes to anyone in any way. That way if the thread is deleted, you'll have the moral high ground unquestioningly. If there really is no corruption, the thread will stay up. We will have been proven wrong. At least on the issue of wrongful forum post deletion.

To bring this thread on topic.....
I don't understand why bhvr would endorse such individuals, and well..... I guess idiots gotta idiot?
I can get playing with your friends and have a laugh, but it's just cringy as ######### and probably shows you're a ######### person in real life

Just did, I´m pretty much baffled though that @Orion would consider something this excessively vague a violation of naming and shaming rules.

Even if you didn't name anyone or even if your description "might" not point out who it is clearly - sorry, but we still don't allow these kind of threads on the forum as they will inevitably end up breaking the naming and shaming rules. Users will start naming content creators to shame them - these threads always do that.
This goes for all content creators as users might dislike someone you like and then start naming and shaming them. We've always dealt with these kind of things this way as they'll always end up breaking the rules.
