Every update, every swap between PTB and Reg client: EAC HAS DETECTED FILES!!!!!

I was sitting in a lobby with 3 other survivors on PTB. Inn the middle of our chat while waiting for the killer or someone to ready up I get this oh too familiar failure.

It happens without fail, every time there's a patch, an update, a new chapter, or I just have to switch between PTB and the regular client. If the company has to modify my game, it never does it correctly. Every every every time without FAIL I get this or something close to this as an error and I have to crash out and verify my game files.

I shouldn't have to Download the patch or updates twice or more to get them installed and working.

DBD is the only game I have this issue with and it legitimately happens every time.

I can MAKE it happen simply by switching between the PTB and the Regular DBD Client (Why are these not separate downloaded and updated clients? Why the swapping?)

I've used 3 different computers in my some 2k hrs of playing this game. Lived in 4 separate places and have had 3 different ISPs. This has happened since I began playing.

Stats: PC, Windows10 (but has happened on Windows 7 as well) Playing on Steam

Steps to recreate: Update with a patch. - Try and play. - EAC Fail.

Switch between PTB client and Regular live DBD Client. - Try and play. - EAC Fail.

Switch back to Regular Live DBD Client from PTB - Try and play. - EAC Fail.

Solution: Waste more time reverifying files that should have been fine to begin with. There's nothing else to do but fix the files and that takes up time.

5-20 min Original Download of patch/update/dlc/chapters/whatever

+ 2-6 mins of lobby time

+ 10-20 mins to Reverify Integrity of Files

+ 5-10 mins to Redownload and install those files

= Not a good game interaction experience.

Not even going to lie here, when this happens I put it on reverify then bounce to another game for the rest of the night. I've already spent 10-20 minutes downloading's what I thought I could play, I'm not wasting my time sitting around with a thumb up my butt waiting for files that should already be installed to fix themselves. Massively frustrating and mega hype killer on new chapters as by the time my DBD is 'ready' *(maybe) I'm already frustrated and 'done'.

Guess I'll kick the baby another time.
