Are there any survivors you don't play because of the perks they're associated with?
I'm just wondering if anyone else does this. I love David, but he's associated with dead hard which I really dislike and never play. Sadly whenever I play David I just have killers that wait out my dead hard even though I don't have it. It's not the worst thing but it does make me reluctant to play David. Does anyone else avoid any other survivors because of things like that?

Mostly I just use the ones I like the look of most.
I don't like Laurie's design much but I also know what most people think when they see her in a lobby. lol

Nope; I love the association. David lets killers hesitate for deadhard. Laurie brings the perks of ds without equipping it, they always leave you on the floor or in the locker. It's like a little extra perk slot while you are free to pick four different perks.

I think it’s dumb that people assume just because you’re playing as a character it means you’re using their perks. This wasn’t a diss at the OP btw, just something I’ve noticed in general.
I play as David a lot, but I don’t like Dead Hard and it makes me laugh seeing killers be reluctant to hit me because they’re waiting for me to use it lol. Sometimes it works in my favour though.

David. I refuse to play as David cause his perks are garbage, other than dead hard of course.

Can never play bill without bt I see the loathsome accusing faces of the gamers behind the skins of my fellow teammates when I don't save them from their campy predicament. And I low key hate bt but love bill.

Yes and no.
I honestly don't care about anyone's opinions on perks, unless they intend on paying my dlc fee, its nobodies business, made up rules or not.
That being said, i don't purchase characters that don't have perks that interest me or i don't like the look of. For instance, while the above statement stands, im not a heavy chase orientated survivor, so things like DS or dead hard don't interest me, so I don't have Laurie. I am not a fan of how david looks, but WGLF is nice to slap on the end of a build now and then. Its generally a case of, will I utilize their perks , or do i love their look (Jane, Cheryl's nurse lisa)

Lori. She's the only character i dont have to level 40. Got ds and sole survivor from the shrine and refuse to unlock OoO.

I main a lot of survivors but there are some I don't play 10 I never play as 13 I main
but I don't play as them because of the perks they come with I just don't care for them.

Same with unbreakable too, I never get slugged as Bill because killers assume I have unbreakable.

I sometimes avoid playing Jane because I have bad memories of getting chain stunned by Janes.

Dwight because I hate Bond and Claudette because I hate Empathy. So many times I've had random teammates use those perks to screw over teammates instead of helping to the point I hate the perks and the characters.

I might have to. When I play Survivor, I main Laurie because of her role in the Halloween franchise. Unfortunately, I think too many Killers look at me and go "OBJECT. DS. DIE." because I've had more than a few Killers go out of their way to kill me even if I'm looping them for too long. Recently I had a Blight that wanted me so bad that the other Survivors had to throw themselves at him because they wanted to get chased. I have DS equipped for this exact situation but I rarely get to use it (I have DS on all my Survivors specifically for this situation). I've been thinking about switching to David or Meg or waiting for someone from a franchise like Resident Evil or The Last of Us and hoping that people don't hate their perks.

Yeah I get that, and the majority of Lauries don't even use object (well the ones I play with), I'd say Meg is quite good because her perks can be predicted but not necessarily countered by killers.

I don't play an immersed style, but the hate is real. Rather not fight a mori every match, so Tapp is is.

survivors are all the same because there is nothing unique about them. they are simple grind obstacles to slow down a player getting all the perks. Thinking of them in a negative way because of a default perk is something a person shouldn't wait time/energy on.
play the survivor you like the look of. If you don't like a skill don't use it.

Nope. I main Dweet because I love his character and appearance. I couldn't care less what perks are associated with any character. I doubt most players do. I mean some of the most popular characters are associated with rubbish perks e.g. Huntress, Steve etc.

To this day laurie sits at level 1. When the original DS first released in 2016 i refused to use it past a couple times because it was associated with so much toxicity, it was such a game breaking chapter. The only reason i have any of Lauries teachables is through the shrine.

Lori. She basically has a "kill me" sign taped to her back due to her perks. Obviously, people run those perks on other characters, but they are associated with her. Also, let's be real, she has an ugly character model. The only reason to play her at ALL is to level her up in order to unlock those perks. That generally also means that she will always be running the perks associated with her.

I notice I get targeted as Laurie a lot so that alone is why I avoid playing her. It’s sad because I’m a big fan of Halloween, I don’t even use DS or OoO ;(
