Am I the only one who dislikes the voice of the new survivor?
To me she almost sounds like Victor at times; She does not sound feminine like the other female survivors.
I'm probably just being nitpicky but to me it just seems like a big contrast between her very feminine figure and her deep voice that sounds like a boy who just started puberty.
IDK. Am I the only one?

I love it. Her screams sound like actual terrified screams and not castrated choir boys.

I don't really hear the terror any more than any other survivor. She just doesn't sound female.

I've heard it and no it doesn't sound super feminine but I don't think she sounds like a man at all.

I think you're exaggerating a little bit. Not all women have high-pitched or squeaky voices. And I think it's good that we have a new voice that is distinct from the others, so you can tell who is injured right away.

I mean, she definitely sounds like a real female. Most of the female characters in dbd have voice pitches that sound like a 15 year old girl. The only one that ever made sense to me to be so high pitched is Kate considering she has probably trained her vocal chords as a singer.
Also, I do feel like she is intended to be older than most of the other females like Jane. The others always struck me as being early twentys at the absolute most.

Could we at least get a little change so that she isn't so painful to hear? I was considering becoming an Elodie main but her voice alone is turning me away...

Wow. I have never seen someone complain this much over a voice... don't you think its pretty offensive to the voice actress?

Remember that usually on PTBs they use any voices for placeholders they may get slightly edited out when it goes live.
And to answer your question, yes I too dislike how she sounds when she is injured, but she is not THAT bad.

I actually like her voice. I mean God damn have you heard when Yui gets hooked or Mori'd? Êlode's voice is unique to her and that's how I would like it to stay

i actually like it, the voices of other chars have turned me away from them (couldn’t stand Fengs scream anymore at some point). But the new one is actually cool, and I like that it is so distinct to the other ones.

I actually like Steve's voice. If the fog and Stranger Things don't work out he's going to have a great career in the singer business

My favorite so far is Steve PTB voice, it was so weird, maybe just maybe Zarina as well.

Its an improvement in the spookiness department but it does sound a little weird when most other survivors sound more like they are singing than screaming bloody murder.

go to 4:32 and you'll see when Zarina gets speared that she screams just like Yui does

I hate her voice. Zarina is my favourite voice because she actually sounds like she's in a lot of pain especially when she's hooked and you can hear her sobbing.

It sounds to me like a female. At no point did I think she sounded like a man. As a black female myself, with a lower range voice ,she sounds perfectly normal and unique from the higher pitched range of most of the other survivors. I'm loving it.

I don’t have a problem with the voice, but the voice actress should redo it with a little more passion, because tbh Elodie’s screams don’t sound that real.

I don't think its offensive to the voice actress, for me its just that the scream is just too loud. When i play killer i always hit the survivor when i hook them if they are a meg or a feng (now with the new one too), its not to BM its just to prevent them from hurting my ears.

Except the OP is not complaining about pitch they are saying a woman who did the voice acting doesn't sound feminine enough and they don't like her voice.

Females can have raspy voices, and I'm really okay with Élodie having the voice she has. That's three steps ahead compared to the last bunch of female survivors who sound like they're enjoying themselves more than being in pain lol.
