Hey You, Survivor Player: How Good Are You At Overcharge?
Last week, i was playing around with a "I kicked a Generator for multiple effects" build.
So stuff like Overcharge, Surveillance & Pop Goes The Weasel for example.
Thing is: Overcharge popped...quite a lot.
Now i know ranks don't matter much, but i'll still mention it: These were all ranks of between high greens & high purples, with a red here and there.
And i know it's Overcharge that they messed up lots, cause Surveillance was showing me they messed up right after a Generator Aura changed color.
Doesn't matter if they knew Overcharge existed in the trial, they'd mess them up regularly.
Maybe it was mostly "that one noob", but idk, almost everytime i visibly saw someone failing the Skill Check, it was a different Survivor.
So let's ask the forums: Do you consider yourself good at hitting Overcharge Skill Checks?
I can't even remember the size of the Skill Check...
If anyone could maybe show me, that'd be just fantastic!

3.5k hours on dead by daylight, primarily on survivor. I can't hit the overcharge skillcheck for the life of me. I always let someone else try to hit it or I go find another gen to m1 afk for 80 secs on if the killer is near the overcharged gen.

Better than the breathalyzer !

If I know it's coming, I can generally hit it 1 out of every 3 times give or take. I've been playing since February and have been Red Ranked for a lot of that time but the Overcharge shot is still tricky to hit :(
Funny enough though, that can sometimes work in your favor as a survivor. I've had gens where I blew it on OC, hid until the killer came to re-kick it, then hit the skill check the next OC try. A lot of killers with OC just don't come back to gens if they don't blow.

It depends on the map, if I am in lerys FPS will probably screw me.

I'm about 50/50 after I know it's there. Usually gets me the first time, and sometimes games get intense enough for me to forget it's even there lol

Its pretty much a 2:3 ratio for me after I know it's there. So I mostly hit it but I'll still miss alot

I dont know my hitrate, there are games where I hit only great skillchecks(and thus overcharge skillchecks as they are the same) and games where I never hit a great skillcheck and thus fail all overcharge skillchecks.
However, with the new and improved version of Technician, even though it punishes you more for missing the skillcheck, it prevents the notification to the killer. Not that I run it often, but the one time I happened to run it, it was vs an Overcharge Unnerving Presence(yes, insanely small skillchecks) Doctor who would camp his 3-gen based on notifications only. Which was nice, as 15% regression is nothing when the killer never knows you triggered it and just lets you finish it.

I can relate to that: With stealth Killers especially, i'm way more busy with looking around than stuff like Overcharge.

Also relatable, i can feel way better about my Skill Checks on certain days.

Overcharge is our friend😌

i can hit it every time as long as i expect it so unless it's the first time in a match I don't fail it.
however impossible skill check doc is another thing i almost always miss those. My best moment in a game against that was getting a reverse unnerving overcharge doc skill check when i wasn't ready. I freaking dropped my drink that i just picked up and hit the button on my controller to hit the skill check and i got it.
100% worth playing the rest of the match with coffee soaked pants XD

I'm red ranks most of the time, and I hit overcharge skillchecks pretty consistently. They're just surprise decisive strike skillchecks.
I feel cool when I hit them too, but on the rare occasion the generator pops I don't see it as a big deal. My big catch on overcharge is when I'm doing a drive by gen regression tap to stop it and I get the overcharge skillcheck. That gets me a lot since I'm usually running or something.

Overcharge skill checks? After I know it's there yea I can hit it most of the time. But paired with unnerving presence? My god it's nearly impossible. I haven't hit one unnerving overcharge skill check in all my hours. It makes the skill checks actually take skill.

It gets me the first time it pops up, and then I'm usually expecting it and it's totally fine. Even tapping a gen to stop the regression only screws me if I have to immediately jump through a window.
But but but but but, I'm on PC and I usually get skillchecks at 60fps. New-gen consoles and good PC's, assuming no unavoidable stutter, are always going to have an advantage when hitting the skillcheck.

Sometimes I have the feeling that I hit more great skillchecks than overcharge skillchecks :P
Roughly I would say I hit like 50-60%

First time it happens I usually miss it because I never expect it. After that, I expect it when I see a regressing Gen. But when it's Doc and it goes backwards, it always throws me off and I end up missing. Throw on Unnerving and I'm a beacon for the killer at that point!

I normally hit it about 50% of the time. The other 50% is either console frame rate issues or just me not paying attention lol
Also I think the skill check it's either the same size or a little smaller/bigger than ds (I'm not sure tho don't quote me on it lol)

Its usually pretty easy to hit. Even when running I can usually pull it off.
Although when there are more things I need to worry about, it usually get a lot harder to actually hit it.
aka, if someone is down or if this is the gen that's going to power the exit gates, I'm more likely to miss.

It is weird, but I hit overcharge if I don't expect it. But when I know it there I miss it like a donkey.
And overcharge is often good for survivor. When you hit skillcheck successfully, Killer think that gen is still regressing, and you finish it without fear.

I've been a survivor main for the majority of my 3,300 hours and I ######### up Overcharge almost all of the time. I'm just gonna put it down to lack of practice, as the perk is rarely used, and not using Decisive Strike (for that small skill check practice)

I'm extremely good at hitting the skillcheck... the first time that it appears. Then I turn into a potato and miss it almost everytime.

Well I suck at DS skillcheck so no I'm not good with overcharge. Most killers run pop or ruin so I don't expect it. However I do like to use it occasionally even if it's not very strong. I've been using dragon's grip alongside it to amusing results.

I'm red/purple rank survivor, I have good days where I hit every overcharge skill checks and bad days where I miss every one. I have noticed from spectating that there are alot of survivors that just tap and runaway away from overcharge gens, they don't even try to hit the skill check.

Im rank 1 with 1.5k hrs and i might miss it the first time but after that ima hit it 95% of the time.
The skill check isnt hard for me as its about the same size as a DS skill check, and since i run DS every game and use it 95% of the time. My life normally depends on me hitting my DS, so ive become a pro at hitting it.

This could've just been a one time thing, but one match, two of my teammates DCd at 5 gens, so the PH started farming. Out of about the 7 overcharge skill-checks I got, I only missed 1.

I usually hit overcharge skill checks. They're not that hard. Sometimes it's a pain in the ass against the doctor because his ability makes it go backwards or something suddenly.

Pretty much always, its a pretty easy check, especially once you know its coming

I have been playing for about 3 months now and for me, personally, I have no problem hitting any skill check no matter how small it is-- Decisive strike, overcharge, Snap out of it.. Any skill check is really easy to hit for me and I play on an xbox one.

I am decent. It usually comes down to how many fps the map drops me by.

I almost always miss it.
