Ebony moris should not be in the game
They're literally so stupid. You can potentially cheat out 8 hook states, and that just shouldn't be possible. The green and yellow moris can stay, but ebonies are completely game breaking. DS, the strongest perk in the game, won't even save you from it if you don't find a locker in time. If a killer's good they will simply power through Borrowed to get the down and mori off first hook. They don't even have to camp the hook, that's just being toxic. They're getting insane value just from hooking a survivor, because the next time the survivor gets downed they're dead. It's legalized cheating. Unless you're a red rank, coordinated SWF who are matched with a dumb enough killer that will chase and hook all 4 people before moriing anyone, there is no overcoming an ebony mori. Before anyone says it, yes keys are dumb too and should be removed. But the point is that something this incredibly broken and game swinging should never have been in the game in the first place.

You only play against a mori if you want to. Last time a killer used a mori against me was in 2019

Yeah, Ebony Moris are crazy strong. I would say Ivory Moris are also problematic, though.

Yeah keys and moris have always been awful. I remember when I first started getting an ebony mori and saying "wow this is so stupid". 4 years later here we are.

I have played the game for 3500hours and I agree. Moris should not be part of this game. Its part of the Great Big Un-funs about this game.
Unlike Camping and Tunneling, Moris can be removed easily. Moris together with Camping and Tunneling is just too stinky for a healthy game.
So BHVR ought to remove the offerings AND rebalance the game without them. They HAVE to go.
Insta Moris was what killed off Deathgarden for me, and i think it has killed the game for alot of players, DBD is just popular despite that.
I vote to remove the entire system from the game and replace those offerings with Party Streamers.
Come on BHVR, You have to see how bad this is.
Make it so when the last survivor falls, You can mori them, then your mori animations are not wasted.

Ebony goes without saying but its the ability to simply tunnel one survivor out of the game before the game has reached the natural state of one player being dead. Its like a DC. It destroys the flow of the match for the survivors.

I hope they leave keys and mori alone. I love both of them. I think it's cool and fun, and makes the game harder. I don't care if other ppl find it unfair or boring.

Ebonies should require every survivor to have been hooked once, keys should require a interaction that requires time and be one person use. Ivory should require the person to be on death hook.

This is true if you think Dead by Daylight is meant to be a balanced competitive game.
The problem is, it's not that. Everything about DBD works against this idea. It has become more balanced with time but even basic systems like progression and item/addon setups work against balance. Moris are the obvious and visible symbol that this game is not meant to be balanced but the unbalanced-ness is pervasive in basically every system.
Give up on this idea. DBD is not that. Give yourself permission to not take this game seriously. It's glorified mario party. The rules are bullshit. It is fun anyway. Still worth playing. You will have more fun once you stop thinking like this.

I disagree that a 5 second stun from a DS is even remotely comparable even if all 4 players have it to being able to reduce hooks from 12 to just 4. Same goes for a key- not comparable.
Get rid of them both but DS isn't that game breaking imo.

There is quite alot of Game Breaking Perks, items, offerings, etc.
As a Killer Main, I can say the same for Survivors with Map Offerings, OoO, Stacking Meta "Second Chance" perks, SWF (with coms), keys, and also the Gen Rushing tactic without any 2nd objective, besides Totems!
But, as a solo Survivor Main; i can say the same for map offerings that favor Survivors, Camping/Tunneling, NOED, newbie teammates that stay immersive and refuse to help, and broken addons like Huntress's IRD shard!
Let's just face the fact the Dev's priorities are not on point; with these "Nuclear options" still in the game, and that they make the game unfun to play against, for the other side!
And this is not a argument, or a legally cheating; i am pretty sure neither sides want to lose and feel miserable when it happens! I have this mentality as either side; in which I do not want to enter and play a match; know the exact results on what is going to happen!
Killer: Full Squad of Blendettes with key, toolboxes, and medkits; all escape on Osmond or Auto haven, they send me, while running stack perks and Object of Obsession!
Survivors: The Killer is a toxic Spirit or some top tier killer; with Epony mori; send us to Underground Complex or game, with slowdown perks; tunnels and camps me in the basement the entire game; or downs all 3 with a NOED!

I agree but the hatch should also go as well. Both are ways of avoiding the objective for a quick win.

What about if when the killer morid you, you both get a series of harder and harder skill checks? First one to miss loses! Lose and die, win and stun. Fair chance!

The only negative I can think of is if both the killer and survivor are absolute gods at skill checks and don't miss, getting locked in an eternal struggle. But then that means the killer has to make a choice... Abandon the mori to regain pressure or continue for the kill

Mori's need reworking, not outright removed. As a killer it's fun to do the killing animation. The requirements should be made more fair, perhaps. Instead of hooking someone on their last hook, let the mori be used then. It's still strong in that it doesn't require the survivor be picked up on their last hook so no save is possible, but it would feel fair because they were on death hook anyway.

So, the ebony mori only working on death hook would fix that one. It would fix the ivory in a way too (the one person mori) so you don't just yeet someone out quickly. It would kind of break the cypress though? Or at least render it pointless if the last person alive isn't on their final hook. It's a potential way of fixing the mori but I can see it working.
As for the keys? Broken key... we can all agree is pretty much an information only key since it doesn't open hatch (another map but with killer/survivor aura reading). The other two I say pit a limit to how many can leave with them. They'd have to rework the all survivors escaping through hatch in one trial achievement but that would fix keys in a way. Give them a limit of how many can take hatch? Keys aren't really that broken since you have to do one gen plus how many are alive to get the hatch to even spawn. Survivors still have to grind the generators to get use out of the key or play the hiding game and outlive their teammates.

If ds was removed it would GENUINELY break the game. If I could tunnel a survivor every game without having to worry about getting stunned for 5 seconds, gg ez. I don't think I have lost a game where there is no obsession tbh. I'm fine with DS being reworked. Mori's on the other hand break the game for existing and same goes for keys. Mori is like a DC for survivor in the sense that it turns into a 3v1 leaving the survivors helpless.

The hatch should most definitely not go. If it does 1v1 situations in endgame will be close to impossible to escape unless they make gate spawns ALWAYS on opposing sides of the map which would be too hard for killer. Hatch is like the happy medium.

About the expected date, according to insider information the key and mori reworks are apparently in the next mid-chapter update, don't @ me on that though because everything is subject to change.

Yesterday had match with spriti she had mori and she chased me pretty much whole match than she finally downed me and hooked me and she camped the hook but when teammate unhooked me I luckily dodge her hit and kept being chased until doors were opened and she downed me in shack and moried and 3 others escaped... So in conclusion I agree in fact I was lucky she was bad enough player to be chased whole match while good killer with mori can kick player out in first 2 minutes and than the rest are ######### they definitely needs nerf and so does keys but for keys you actually need plenty time playing to put them in use while with mori you can kick player out in 2minutes I mean either if u camp them or you don't let's say nobody comes to save them because you're camping the player will die on hook in less than 2 mins if teammate comes in safe and manage to do it somehow you tunell player back and mori them so either way it takes less than 2 mins

Yes maybe 1v1 is impossible to escape but it starts as a 4v1. If the killer managed to get it down to a 1v1 and survivors did not get all the gens, why do they get a free win anyway? When the killer does bad and gets no kills at the end, do killers get a free kill anyway?

Ivory mory are just as strong the only reason you dont see them often its because killer have too much rare addon compare to the ultra rare addon. Ivory mori can make the game a 3v1 early its really strong.

I completely agree.But some of the trophies on console /achievements on steam need the ebony like ‘Blood On Your Face’ kill 4 survivors by your hand in one trial the achievements ‘Blood On Your Hands’ and ‘Blood In Your Mouth can stay because we have other moris and rancor. So I’d say BHVR should get rid of the ebonies AND that achievement. Imagine your a noob thinking they’re bringing a shroud of binding and you get stabbed up by a legion. I think they should be removed from the game but available to custom with the game rule allowing them. When I play SWF (I don’t use voice communication because I think it’s unfair) I just message my friend “We’re getting moried XD” then after we die (or escape) we message gg then we play another game.

1 escape for the survivors is still a win for the killer though. The mindset killers have is that they need to get 4ks every game to "win" when in reality a 3k is a win because you killed more people than survived. And it's not a free escape because you have to find hatch before each other it's not like the suvrivor just knows where hatch is and escaped through it every match in 1v1 situations.
