I always take Billy over Oni
I've studied both played both and overall. I still think billy is better. I feel more in control with Billy. I have an easier time controlling billy I snowball better with Billy. I like that I have zooming powers already. Oni mains don't come bam bam me I bet you'll get kills more then me but I'll always choose Billy over Oni. Prove me wrong I know you will. But are there others who prefer Billy over Oni?

They're both fun to go against for the same reason as a survivor main. I wish I saw more of them.

Oni is much more enjoyable because his demon dash is so sick. A and D keys give so much controll to your movement. Billy is fine, but after nerf he become less fun to me. I could use m2 for the whole match even if I chase injured survivor, just because it's fun. But devs decided to remove fun for some reason. Only satisfying trick Billy can do is chainsaw someone across the map. And I desperately need yellow boots add-on to have fun as Billy at current state. If this level of control was a base kit I would probably become Billy main without add-ons.
I understand that Oni have his power much more restricted than Billy's overheat mechanic, but once he got power, it's so nice. Having almost full controll to dash through entire map and down some clueless gen jockey is priceless.

I think Oni's power is stronger than Billy's, but of the pair I do play Billy more often.
Oni is fun, but I like having my power available more frequently throughout the match.

I prefer Billy over Oni. I don’t understand all the focus on Billy’s nerf. The overheat isn’t a big deal as it doesn’t happen often enough. The addon nerf sucks but luckily I only ever play killers with brown or yellow addons. So the addon nerf didnt affect me so much.
I don’t understand why anyone would pick Oni of Billy. Billy can travel the map better than any other killer and also use it to insta down. How does it not get better than that. Sure Oni can do the same but ONLY when he has his power. As soon as he picks someone up to hook it’s gone and he cant just rush to another gen across the map after a hook like Billy could.
People trying to block injured survivor? Chainsaw.
People hiding behind pallet?
Chainsaw zone and break pallet.
People scared off chainsaw?
Free easy and quick pallets gone from the map.
The only thing I see Oni has over Billy is no crashing into things with his power and blood tracking.
However I hit 95% of my chainsaw hits so I don’t really bump into anything so I’d rather have my power all the time than have an easier to use power for a limited time. The blood tracking isn’t a big deal for me either as you can hear injured survivors or follow scratch makes, blood pools, crows, BBQ chili, bright clothes and ETC.
I also play on console so Oni’s “flick” isn’t as easy to use on a controller. I do fairy we’ll controlling Billy’s chainsaw on a controller.

I used to play billy as pretty much my only killer up untill his last nerf.
The rawr is stupid the stealth add ons are a joke and throw in the fact that they moved his pov forward and now he just feels clunky.

I played billy alot but I gotta say, oni is just way more fun imo and I feel more like a threat against good teams, where as billy sometimes I feel powerless against a good swf.

I hate playing them both, Billy feels awkward and clunky and Oni... Awkward, clunky, makes me feel nauseous, frustrating, an M1 killer till you get a hit in- yeah if I had to play one Billy > Oni any day but damn do I hate them both.
That said, Billy is also significantly more fun than Oni to face, and he's better looking too which I didn't think is a thing I'd be saying today.

Maybe this is unrelated but as an Oni main I will say this, if I'm having issues getting my power like maybe safe pallets or not being able to land a hit, yeah Billy is better.
But if I have my power Oni is way better for a limited time.
I personally have issues with Billy now, not related to the nerf but just the roar, it's sooo annoying for me same reason why I rarely play doctor, too noisy for me.
To each their own, if you like Billy more than Oni then that it's great, we need more Billies.

Oni is the stronger Killer, even before Billy got the Overheat-Mechanic (and if the Billy was not using Insta-Saw or Crack Billy). But Billy has his power all the time.
I personally enjoy Billy more, never got the hang on Oni so far, but since I am currently levelling him up, I will play him more in the near future.

Billy is 100% more rewarding once you get really good at him and has a higher skill cap. Oni still has a high skill cap but is movement and zero collision makes it alot easier to control him.
