Brainstorm ideas for end game collapse game hostaging

You know how at the end of the match the survivors won't leave until you smack them out?

Does anyone else find this annoying and think there should be options for this situation? Like a killer "forfiet match" button? Or maybe just make the end game collapse a lot shorter? Like just 30-60sec?

Or maybe even a killer perk that reduces the end game timer to 60 seconds? (I know with blood warden 3 this would make all survivors die in the trial every time, but counterplay is just 99% doors, which is usually done anyways.)

I'm not looking for negativity, just honest feedback. So 1, does this issue bother anyone, and 2, should something be done about it?

Maybe also a killer perk (or new game mechanic) that reveals the auras of any survivors during end game collapse who are within a 32-64 meter radius of the entrance of the exit gates? Or enough meters so even a M1 killer can have a chance to hit once, and still have the distance to hit one more time to down them just before they exit? (just 1 body block would save a survivor in this case).

This doesn't bother me, actually. I don't like when people hang around just to teabag, but when people hang in the gates it has elements of tactics and good sportsmanship. On the tactics side, you might hang around to make the killer waste time chasing you out, or you might hang around in case you need to take a hit for a teammate. The killer also has the option of bringing Blood Warden, so there's a fun element of risk / reward when you decide not to leave the trial. On the sportsmanship side, you also might just be trying to give the killer some additional bloodpoints on the way out. I've seen people leave their items on the ground too to show good sportsmanship to the killer.

I often hang out in the gates because I'm looking to take a protection hit for a sweet, sweet WGLF stack. That's a huge amount of BPs to just tack on at the end of the game.

It would be an interesting buff to Blood Warden to show survivor auras within a certain radius of the gates instead of just inside them. I don't think that change is necessarily needed, but I also wouldn't be opposed. It could be fun!

Most of the time survivors will do that to give you a free hit. Sometimes they'll do it as a distraction, other times if you don't smack them out they might leave it and attempt a save if someone's on hook, other times of course they'll do it to teabag and be a richard. There's a multitude of reasons why survivors hang at the gate exit. As a killer I don't care. It's only mildly annoying if I have a short fuse that day, otherwise I just shrug and hit em out.

I do it as a survivor for pretty much all the reasons I listed except to teabag and be a dick. If a killer has had a bad match that went quick I'll sometimes hang at the gate just so they can get a bit of extra bloodpoints from the hit out.

With the EGC, there is no hostage situation. Hostage means a player can only end the game by disconnecting (this includes the killer trapping a survivor in a corner and survivors stealthing around the map for an extended period of time refusing to work on generators); hostage does not including bleeding out or having to wait for survivors to leave after the gate is open, because in both of those situations there is a timer that ensures the match will end without anyone needing to disconnect.

The EGC is amazing as it is. I love it. Back in the day, there was no end-game timer, so survivors could stealth around the map indefinitely, actually holding the killer hostage. Now we have the EGC, cutting the amount of time survivors can remain on the map to a few minutes. You can either hit them out to force them to leave sooner, or you can go around the map and earn some points breaking walls and pallets and stuff. I like doing the latter; I'm super duper happy if I manage to find the hatch and close it.

It used to annoy me, but now I just meet them and get a couple free hits. No big deal. The tbagging used to bother me as well, but after you've seen it a thousand times it's not really such an issue.

I guess someone hasn't been here for hatch stand offs....

Not wanting to smack them out is not a reason to change anything in this regard. The solution is to just smack them out.
