Play without Bloodlust this weekend, Relax and Keep Calm.
This whole Community is exploding right now, and I ask you to relax.
We all knew it was coming, Bloodlust has been contentious ever since it was implemented. So its no surprise BHVR wants to put it to the test, even tho many of us feel Bloodlust is part of the game now. Regardless of how we feel, We must engage in this test and play as we would normally. This is for the good of the game, For Balance.
I have always been a fan of Bloodlust, it was necessary and sometimes its a genuine help. BUT..
If BHVR sees a reason it should leave the Game because its causing problems or all maps are now balanced, as some players claim, then we should at least allow them to test it properly and not throw a fit. You can always tell BHVR what your opinion is afterwards. I plan to do that, but this comes after the test, NOT BEFORE.
Come on now, lets see if the game really would be better without first and report back to BHVR, ok?

I don't really know if they will listen to our feedback unless it's 90% of the community. They will do what they want regardless of how anyone feels according to there "data" they collect. I don't exactly dislike the company, but they have been getting quieter and quieter. Kind of miss the weekly streams and videos talking about stuff. Felt a bit more like they cared about the community and wanted to interact with everyone.

Keep calm and prepare to camping.

Indeed. Basing decisions on how you feel things happen instead of how they actually happen is a bad idea.
3 -
Bloodlusting killers always camp anyways so might as well make it harder for them to get their well deserved 1k.

It's not black and white, you know. Usually people don't start match planning to bloodlust someone and camp him then, they decide to camp when realize that chasing is hard for them. So I expect a camping shitshow when people who struggled already will be pushed to don't even try to go for hard chases.

I'm not basing it on how i feel i'm basing it on how they have acted and have been acting. I mean where is the mmr matchmaking that was planned to be out already? I understand they are looking at everything and doing what they think will help but idk really. I've played this game since release and it's gotten better in some ways but a ton worse in others.

The MMR turned out to have bugs, so they removed it and are working to fix those bugs. They said so themselves. Would you rather they didn't fix the bugs? Because I seriously don't get this complaint.
I've also played the game since release and, IMO, it's a lot better now than it has ever been.

The way I see it people who bloodlust and camp will feel more stressed out than before. As a result they will either try and actually work on their chases or they will drop the game completely after a few hard-camp matches.
We will just have to wait and see. Personally I'm fairly sure I don't need bloodlust these days. Most crazy loops are gone and many killer powers are strong enough to get quick downs.
On top of that the removal of bloodlust allows the devs to potentially buff weaker killers because a Spirit will not suffer from the removal of bloodlust as opposed to Wraith for example.
1 -
Well, personally Wraith won't miss Bloodlust.
That could work if we could expect BHVR to implement such balance changes in appropriate time, but that's not going to happen, expect changes to these killers in two years, or something.

This is my hope, too. That the strong killers will be unaffected but M1 killers might see a dip in performance; the devs will notice that bloodlust affects certain killers more than others and conclude that those killers need something extra, rather than an across the board mechanic for all killers, even the ones that don’t need it.
Wishful thinking maybe but who knows :)

Or just don't play Killer? For the first time I"m actually trying to hit R1 Killer (I"m new ish). I have enough trouble trying to progress with all the SWF out there.. that is what it is.. but making it even harder to break those loops.. I don't need the extra de-pips thanks.... Bad enough I can't change killers when I see certain item builds... even though I believe they stopped the ranking specific to killers? Just gona make survivor waits even longer if you keep spitting on killers.... Guess I'll work on survivor rank this weekend... Meh...

Never relied on bloodlust before, didn't expect people to make such a big deal out of this.

As long as they see how broken some loops are without Bloodlust (Im looking at you, double window with double pallet on Crotus Asylum) so they can finally nerf that bs, Im ok with this experiment.

Even though the game makes me angry recently, I'll take part to this experiment so they get as much data as possible.
In my opinion though, BL 1 was never a problem and good Killers would never get above BL1 unless they purposely played bad. BL2 and BL3 are unhealthy now in 2020.
1 -
Yea, We need to be ok with it Resisting or sabotaging the experiment as some say they wanna do, its not gonna help us all in the long run.

God forbid killers to actually get good at the game instead of being rewarded for losing
Bloodlust is the DH for distance for killers, that doesn't have a cool down though
1 -
The hatch for Killers in other words.

Please take bloodlust away forever.
Thank you, that is all.

Terrible time to do the test. Maybe if they actually gave the power role back to the Killer first, and then tested without Bloodlust, but really they are just shooting an injured dog while it's down. I completely understand why people will avoid playing this weekend.
3 -
The hatch actually requires survivors to do gens, bloodlust helps trash killers to get undeserved hits :)

The Hatch is spawned and opened for the last Survivor regardless of Generators. 😶

So you're asking killers to put themselves in a position where they can make even fewer mistakes, and allow survivors even more room for error?
You know killers need every second they can get, right? They're the ones with an invisible timer running based on how efficient survivors are, you know.
