No Mither makes absolutely no sense as a perk

No Mither benefits:

  • You don't leave pools of blood
  • Grunts of pain caused by injuries are reduced by 50%
  • grants infinite unbreakable

CONs:

  • You are in broken state for the entire trial
  • You are injured and can not be healed for the entire trial / Killer can down you with only one hit
  • You make grunts of pain for the entire trial
  • you can't get the full benefits of Fixated perk because of the injured state.
  • You can't use for the people perk.

How the perk really works in a match:

  • Killer sees your broken state and knows you carry No Mither perk, hence the killer always picks you up so you can not use your unbreakable.
  • 50% reduced grunts of pain really does not cover your voice that much, so the killer always finds you.
  • Pools of blood may not appear, yes, but you still make noise in injured state so good luck staying hidden. You are forced to use Iron will when playing with No Mither, else the perk simply does not work.
  • Since you are in injured state for the whole game, you have basically traded an extra hit and feel of security against stealth killers for not leaving pools of blood, that's it. Yes, there's the infinite unbreakable but if the killer knows about No Mither (which they do), there's no way they let you use it, so it is very rare situation when you actually get the chance to use it against someone who slugs and pays no attention.

No Mither needs a serious rework. My suggestion is bringing back the 100% silenced grunts, so the perk would also provide Iron will benefit on top of the unbreakable. Also, it should provide Fixated 20% walking speed benefit. This way No Mither would actually become a reliable perk to consider for real instead of being a troll perk for Yolo players. Does it sound too powerful to you perhaps, remember that this is a perk that makes you 1-hit-down survivor, that's pretty huge tradeoff.

It's a meme perk. Also, you can make builds around it that are pretty hilarious. On top of that, a few other Perks do actually benefit from running No Mither. I remember watching a guy that just kept getting back up in the Killers face. The Killer stopped everything just to down him and watch him get back up like 8 times insanely fast. Everyone was having fun with it.

I don't think it needs any kind of buff to make it meta. If anything, meta perks need a nerf, or mechanics need to be adjusted to make them less meta-worthy. I mean, there are borderline useless perks on either side that give BP at the cost of a perk slot. Maybe give No Mither a BP bonus to solidify it's meme status.

Meme perks do not belong in dbd as a mechanic. People can make any perk into a meme, but arguing that it should not be touched in order to protect its meme potential is just ridiculous.

Sunbreaker7 it's right, these kinds of perks need buffs.

  • Maybe it's not supposed to make sense...
