Why have survivor queues been long recently?
I'm getting queue times upwards of 10 min. Before it took like 1-2 min on average, now its like 7 min on average.
Is it just my rank (purple atm) or is it happening at all ranks?

If you're queuing right now then it's because a lot of survivors play in these times (it's 3-4 hours before and after this specific time). If you go into killer queues they're basically 29 seconds, maybe less.

I tried to play survivor today, rank 16, and I gave up because the queue was so long. Killer queue is instant, so that's where I go.

I play usually mid day or late at night (PST).

I think a lot of killers bailed because they turned blood lust off for testing this weekend.

Normal Primetime survivor instaqueues were 5-7min for me at Rank 1 all weekend.
Most Unusual.
Wonder why

Cuz more people play survivor. A LOT more.

1 killer = 4 survivors.
That would mean there's like 20x or more people are playing surv over killer right now,

That's normal. On my region, during the day, survivor queue times are fast(like 30 seconds), but Killer queue are long (4+ minute), but during the night, the table shifts, survivor queues is long and Killer queue are fast like 15 seconds.
Seems like people only like to play Killer during the day*

Definitely* changed for me. Granted I haven't played a ton this month, but I have this past week. My queue times were great up until late Friday then onwards. I'm on the EST servers.

Ever since cross-play was enabled, queue times on survivor have gotten worse - at least from a PC perspective. Makes sense because the majority of console players are survivor mains, whereas there is a better mix on PC side.
Overall - I didn't see much of a difference in queue times this week compared to the last few weeks. Evening = long survivor queues, Morning = short survivor queues. In fact, I switched over to EU during midnight in NA and had instant queues on survivor.

its been like that for a while now.
probpaply because we have more survivors playing than killers, so it takes longer for surviovors to find a lobby while killers are almost instant

The lack of mmr means a lack of killers.
Even without mmr y'all sweaty swf makes all killers want to play something else.
Has nothing to do with bloodlust.

Sometimes it depends on the time of day you're playing or the rank you have.
I have quicker matchmaking time around 12-4PM in the UK, at night the matchmaking gets slower for me (for some reason).

Yeah, and what I'm saying is that the ratio of survivors to Killers is definitely WAY higher than 4 to 1. Survivors can play with their friends, can talk to each other, and have the (somewhat) easier job. Common sense that so many people would choose to play that role.

Because alot of players never touch the killer side of the game

Simole before the bloodlust experiment you had 1 or 2 minute survivor queue.
This weekend they did the bloodlust experiment and killer saw for another time how the game is survivor side so they decide to swich to survivor or just dont play

The BL experiment probably turned away many killers this weekend.
Which is silly.

The only thing about what u just said though.
When killer times are long, it's not as long as survivor wait times at its peak. As a survivor, in the middle of the night, it takes like upwards of 20 mins sometimes to get a game. Killer queue is like 5 mins during its peak.

It’s the bl test

My solo queues are 5 minutes or less if I'm lucky. Killer is almost instantaneous yet I still get green/purples and really boring easy games

I can also explain why this is the case: If you play Killer at night, you will probably get A LOT of 4 man SWF top tier genrushers. So it's not a very fun experience.
