Bring a broken key to force the killer to waste a slot on Franklin's
Ez pz lemon squeezy. Last 3 games I've brought a key (mainly because I like the add on that let's you see the obsession) and last 3 games Franklin's was used.
BONUS: If you equip the aforementioned add on, it will force an obsession even if no one is using DS, thus the killer will be hesitant to tunnel or will slug, allowing a teammate to pick you up or for you to use Unbreakable.

Well what do you know!
I still got tunneled. 😔

Your teammates must love having their itens being taken
2 -
I mean your "friends" can kiss their items goodbye unless they are chest diving.
2 -
They will dodge, mori you, or facecamp.

Everyone and their mother just equips a mori in my case :(

I was fixing to say it just waste their offering slot, but others beat me to it.

"Waste a slot on franklins"
You underestimate my deviance. I bring Franklins all the time....its a blessing when I can use it.
7 -
I swear I can't be the only killer main who doesn't pay attention to what items survivors bring.
5 -
My experience is more like you make the killer bring moris. No thanks

Even without this type of post I had like 3 out of 8 matches with people comboing either key/map or key/offering. You don't need to post this, people already use the full key very frequently. I dont have this type of reaction, but usually keys will attract moris and will make your friends lose items in the case of franklings, I don't know how this is supposed to help you, but key away all day long.

Sometimes I do, but mostly I don't. I usually bring lightborn when I see 3 or 4 flashlights, but this weekend I didn't even notice until the end game people even had it hahahahaha
As for the keys, I don't care about them. I don't really mind using Franklin's just for this reason, much less a mori. People are sometimes so childish over an item. Besides, as survivor, I love keys for aura reading. Many times the survivor die even before finding the hatch and the item will be consumed eventually.

So, coming from the Killer on the other side of that argument, here's what I see:
A Meg pops into my lobby, mask and all that good stuff, key in hand.
I can only assume the worst, so I dig through my perks for a good solution.
I notice a distinctive lack of Franklin's, or I'm not playing Bubba.
I scroll to my Offerings and see a Mori.
"Well, I guess it's that kind of game today."

I used to either bring a brown toolbox to bait out the Franklin's when all my teammates had items, but I rarely even bothered. I just see it as an opportunity to have all the chests to myself now. I assume I'll get tunneled if I bring any key in.

Bringing an item to basically guarantee the killer focuses you down out of spite, or moris you, to get an 'advantage?'
3 -
Jokes on you, I always bring franklins
3 -
I always dodge keys.

Why waste a broken key?

If the gens are progressing too quickly in a match with a key, I tend to resort to slugging everyone and trying to manage them all so that the hatch can't spawn even if that's to the point of a bleedout.
I really dislike the design of the current Franklin's Demise 😠

I brought a green key as I had quest to full deplete 3 green keys. Quest complete in 3 games. This also summons Moris in addition to Franklin

im a killer main and i say franklin way to cheep it just ruins the game for survivers

I can understand wanting to avoid a killer that has other 'toxic' perks, but at the same time if you're going to make a killer waste a perk slot for Franklin's. They most likely won't be afraid to waste a mori in it's place. (Not a killer main, just an experienced survivor.)

Nah i will just dodge if you had a map offering or bring a mori im not wasting a slot for frankling

I'm usually take a shot while or refill my drink as the lobby queues up...
1 -
Here is a much better method: Join the lobby holding the key, just before it locks in, do the old switcheroo and unequip the key.
Killer wastes a Mori!
2 -
I'll never understand why killers use Franklins. Outside of having no other perks or just being a troll it makes no sense to me.

You would look like this if you would seriously try that:

Its all fun until you notice that the Killer Offering does not turn around...
2 -
This reminds me of my Mike back on Xbox that had over 250 ebony moris. Always meant to use them one day.

I Will find you
And I will mori your 4ss

It works great against people with medkits that have to heal in a conventional way after being hit, it can help you with kicking the key out of survivor's hands if he wasn't smart enough to leave it somewhere, it helps you against flashlight bully squads which are annoying even if you know how to deal with them. That's enough reasons.

More than 2 flashlights is always a free win anyway for me. Too much time spent going for saves and not doing gens.
1 -
Yes, and because of that you can afford to spend one perk slot for Franklin's or Lightborn to make your game more comfortable :)
3+ medkits are a different story though.

Yeah,i got like over 1000 Moris on my killers.Wish i could trade them for BP offerings though because i almost never use them :/

Same here. I get why people quit when they see one. Its not fun to queue for 5 minutes or longer just to get unlucky with being hooked first. I never see killers use them on final hook when I play survivor its "how fast can I tunnel this guy out and make this game unwinnable". I just use them for rift/dailies and do a final hook mori.
1 -
I mean, if I was that worried about a key I'd bring a Mori, not Franklin's. It'd handle the key so much faster and allow me to use 4 perks rather than 3.

Bonus reasons:
survivors will often get themselves killed trying to get their item back
If you make them drop their item before a window they might accidentally try and pick it up if they try to vault it again

It's funny. I regularly bring in Broken Keys with Wedding Rings so I can see the aura of one survivor. It's kind of like a poor man's Bond. I rarely see killers bring Moris or Franklins Demise in.
Heck, as a Killer, I could care less if someone bring in a Key. I've seen it effectively used so rarely that a Mori or a Franklins in a waste of a perk slot. However, if I see 2 or more flashlights or a lot of toolboxes, I'll bring in Franklin's Demise.

I'm perfectly fine with being tunneled so long as my teammates are pounding out gens. Don't worry, I'm a big boy.
If my teammates DON'T work on gens then they wouldn't have anyway and we likely would have lost because I can't do 5 gens all by myself. Nothing really changes.

Or they'll just bring a mori. . .

I love this. This is amazing

Hasn't been much of a problem yet. 🤷♂️ I haven't noticed an increase in moris but I have noticed a near guarantee of Franklin's so far.
Not saying it won't happen but someone who jumps to using a mori whenever they can or when they feel worried about losing probably don't have many moris, but Franklin's doesn't get used up. Someone who has a stockpile of moris because they don't like using them probably feel confident enough to win without a mori, even in the face of a key.
