What is a formula to predict how long it will take for you to catch up to a survivor?

I’m not sure if this answers your question, but as a Clown player I’m usually scanning the distance to identify where the survivor is likely going, gas those areas to deter them, hit them. Works 99.99% of the time.

In theory it should be like this:
You play trapper (movement speed is 4,6 m/s),while survivors run at 4 m/s.Which means you catch up at 0,6 m/s
4,6 m/s - 4m/s = 0,6 m/s
10m : 0,6 m/s = 16,67s
If the survivor starts 10m ahead of you then it would take you about 16,67 seconds to catch up right next to them
You have to assume though that both of you are running in a straight line and that bloodlust isn't considered here as well.

Ax+Bx=C
it's usually pretty accurate most of the time
