Killer sounds
Does anyone else think that the killers are a bit loud on the killer end. Like don't get me wrong, I don't mind some Michael Myers ASMR breathing, or demos hulking feet, but when I'm looking for a survivor they get a bit annoying.
I get it being loud on the survivors end cause of the scarieness and such but can we turn em down a bit for the killer players

I guess they can be a little loud. The only sound I have an issue with is the Clown's heavy panting...

For me is the demo wordwide stomp and the bloody knife of Piramid Head scratching the floor

his vaulting is the worst.
I don't have that many issues in general, but I would appreciate if demoboy didn't scream so loud after hits.

TBH the demo scream is one of my favorite noises in this game. Now if only clown could have a Krusty the Klown laugh after every hit and his chase music was creepy distorted big top circus music...

a lot of the things are loud.
- Generator sounds for survivors
- Fire Barrels
- Killer chase music on both sides
- grunts of pain for survivors
- the Huntress humming
there are more. and when I say for survivors I mean playing as one.

Haven't played as Demo yet but watched some videos and yeah, that guy is definitely too loud. I'm a fan of options so I think giving the option to adjust the Killer sounds would be great. It is possible though that the Devs could see these sounds as part of the balance for a given killer though...like they made Demo or certain others louder than usual on purpose, as a way to make it harder for the Killer to hear around them as a form of balance.

Billies growling kept irritating me at first, like walking through mud.
I remember my first survivor round after exclusively playing killers at first. I was ######### surprised how loud survivors breath when playing as survivor, i never heard that as killer.
Sounds in Dbd get progressively worse each time it is touched.

You're a fan of options? Oh you poor innocent thing, you're gonna absolutely hate DbD, a game with almost no options at all of any kind. It's 2020 and this game doesn't let you turn off antialiasing, have an FOV slider or even let you bind secondary keys for commands.

I know. I love playing clown but that man is annoying with his friggin smoker cough every five seconds

I bet you hate Plague

Yeeeeaah... Very hard to find people when you have your corrupt purge.

I don’t mind some of them (Trapper’s breathing and Ghost Face’s swooshing and sounds of leather creaking are actually weirdly enjoyable for me) but Demo’s stomping and screaming is just a touch too loud. I don’t mind the idea, but I wish they’d knock the volume down just a bit.
Also wish they’d reduce the volume of survivors screaming on hook because I feel like I’m damaging my ears every time I play killer. The AAAAAAAAAHHH is fine and thematic but please don’t blast out my ear drums with it. :(

Overall I don't mind the sounds. The only issue I have is when I play Julie version of The Legion. Her breathing sounds like injured survivor at times for me and I get confused especially when someone is down and I don't have Deerstalker on.

It's those key moments that got me to make this post in the first place. It's great ambience and game design, but in a game really reliant on sounds they need to be turned down a bit

completely agree!

The devs said something like that. Atleast the loud chase music should make it harder to track survivor.

I can't remember where I saw this, but I'm pretty sure the devs have said that the loud chase music is to make it harder for killers to track during chases. Maybe it's the same for all the other noises? I agree that it's annoying, but I think it's on purpose.
I main Pig, and her breathing sounds like Claudette to me. Makes it hard to find Blendies.

if that's the case then it's another thing that gives advantage to survivors. Shouldn't be like that imo. However survivors are also loud, at least some of them. I try playing as Jeff sometimes but his panting when he runs is so loud I can't lol.

The one that REALLY needs addressed is Plague when using corrupt purge. It is so loud I walked right over the open hatch and couldn't hear it.
2 -
True! Though I think I've only ever seen like 1 Jeff, lol.
And again, I can't remember where I heard that, so I might be completely wrong or misremembering.

I wouldn't be surprised to be fair, that game will not surprise me with anything else lol
I got Jeff and Legion as my first DLC and was excited to play as him, but his loud noises just turn me off haha to be fair I've never seen anyone playing as him (or maybe few of them) and I guess that's the reason why he's not popular. It's a shame because he's got quite good perks.

Demos footsteps kind of make his undetectable add ons worthless, he seems to have a global cue for EVERYTHING even the teleport that gives him that effect in the first place. Clowns vault sound also removes mindgame potential.
That said I like the majority of killer ambient noises. How else are you supposed to know GF or Micheal is approaching from a LOS breaker or Billy with Tinkerer.
Demos noises can make him annoying to play sometimes though.
