If you haven't bought a legendary skin, what would make you consider?

Just wanna hear some peoples opinions. Personally I have not bought any and I wouldve bought onis but I thought he would be more unique like either a different kanabo or hell chase with claws and use a different animation. Maybe even different color orbs like yellow. Also personally if they ever made a legendary Robin skin for Nancy idc I would pay for that so fast :D.

I bought Oni's because I'm borderline furry trash and couldn't resist but the only way I would ever buy another is if they changed more with the animations/voice work or if it was a crazy cool design/concept.

  • Basically the same for me. I really dig Minotaur oni, and if they do a Krampus Trapper I'll probably buy that too.

Omg, that would be a day 1 purchase from me since I've been playing a lot of Trapper anyway. I was actually thinking the other day "If they did a skin of Krampus, what killer should it be for?" And yes! Trapper!

I wish head pieces on some survivors and weapons on killers could be worn separately. Some outfits are chained without any good reason.

The thing with that tough is that just because it's linked doesn't make it legendary. There is a distinction, mostly just a $5 difference so far, but still a difference. That being said, they really should unlink some of those individual pieces.

Nothing, it would have to be earned with in game currency. I got this game when it was free, have unlocked 4 killers with iri shards, and for my birthday I bough the shape, ghost face, and leather face. If i was gonna spend money, it would be to get demo, Freddy, the pig, deathslinger or pyramid head

Different names in the lobby as a Survivor, different power objects as Killer (i.e. different look for Traps, chainsaws, Hatchets, Kanabos, Fountains, etc.), and different voice acting for both.

Legendary Skins are different characters, if I'm gonna pay 15 dollars for a single outfit that I can't mix and match I want to feel like I'm playing a different character.

Not like I'm playing Heather but she's cosplaying. Or Oni but his hands are a little different. A different character.

As is the Legendary Skins are just glorified outfits.

It would have to be on a character I use a lot and have something about it that I like.

Same... I have Clowns (fan made) elephant skin (no weapon though)

    And Susie's Bunny Skin

And to answer the OP question... I have 3 (I think) but won't get anymore

I have Susie's bunny skin as well but that's just linked not actually a Legendary skin. So far the only actual Legendary skins are Lisa and Cybill for Cheryl, Minotaur for Oni, and a Christmas skin for Trapper coming next week. The rest are just purple skins that are linked.

A legendary skin for Left 4 Dead survivors/special infected

Some of the killers have obvious counterparts, and even if all of the survivor ones were on Bill, I'd probably buy at least 4 of them anyway.

nothing really, I don’t think I’ve ever bought a cosmetic item in any game I’ve ever played

Despite ALL my MANY complaints with Pyramid Head's useless torment trails, his unreasonably punishing shockwave, his outragiously huge and noisy design paired with inexplicable stealth mechanics, and his 98% totally useless AddOns, if they released a legendary skin of Pyramid Head from the movie, with the sharp helmet, I'd buy it.

The literal ONLY Legendary skin I would even consider buying would be turning David Tapp into Daniel Rigg, for the sole reason that I feel he should have been the Survivor representative of Saw to begin with.

There is NO REASON for a SKIN that has ZERO effect on gameplay to cost almost TWO CHAPTERS in a game that ISN'T free-to-play! You can't change my mind on that.

My reasoning on not buying legendary skins is because they don't change anything about the character. Why should I pay 15 dollars on something that does nothing but change their hairstyles, clothes and idle standing animations? No thanks, If there was different voice from the original maybe I would consider on buying it.

I would buy a legendary skin if it stopped making certain survivors sound like they were going into heat when injured (looking at you David).

That, and tethered outfits while cool, should have something swappable. For example, Nea's graffiti set looks amazing, but allowing survivors to have a part of it unlock (or example with Nea, maybe have hair with the gasmask) to allow for customization. If ingry cosmetics its because I, a 31 y/o man want to make David and Felix look like a snack (or a whole damn meal). I want to play dress up dammit. Let me play dress up!!

I just want it to be worth it. Bought Jane's goddess because I liked how it looked (not legendary ik but it's a set), and if its on a character I play and its worth it to me I'll get it.

Giving value for the 5 Euros you have to pay extra.

On the very, very least (like the absolute minimum) this would be a different name in the Lobby. So not "The Oni" but "The Minotaur" (or "The Guardian" or whatever they come up with). Not "Cheryl Mason", "Lisa Garland"... Then another voice actor. This would be the next step.

This would also allow to switch genders, e.g instead of Cheryl you can have James as well as a Legendary Skin. But imagine playing James with a female voice? Would be silly.

So yeah, overall, make it worth to actually pay more money for a Set-Cosmetic, because currently those are only Sets at a higher price.

  • I feel they should make a classic universal studios type killer someday. They would have some kinda kit that could be somewhat universal in use among all of them, but the DLC would include no survivors.

Instead it would be like a few skins.

    • "The Monster" basically something like frankenstein as the base. Has the base actual ability kit, but it's designed so that if you use one of the other skins the visuals are a bit more fitting to the theme of the killer, but still recognisable in effect to the players to avoid confusion to newer players.

    • Wolfman
    • Swamp Monster

I would buy that DLC in heartbeat.

They need to have different animation, voice actor and thing like that. Not only that bug the game need better graphic and less bug plus a bunch of health patch

If it's any skin from Outlast series, I would instantly buy it.

If it's Kate skin, I would consider buying it.

Maybe if they add Robin or Barb from Stranger Things.

other than that, something like Oni-Minotauros is cool, but for that price it needs more distinction from Oni. Animations, weapon.

    • Different Voice Over.
    • Different Animations.
    • Having been in other games where they had a similar system (Marvel Heroes) where it was obviously easier to make them over the top because they could play with changing their powers as well. These skins though, should feel unique/special . I can totally get behind a different character becoming a “skin”. To me it has to make sense though. Like, I wouldn’t want Pennywise as a skin for Clown for instance... but I would love to see Dr. Samuel Loomis as a gender bender skin for Laurie for example.
    • Details, details, details. These skins should feel over-the top. I know there are instances where there is only so much they can do, but even if it was in the texture or adding little details on their outfits, just something to make them stand out.

A price drop because quite frankly it's absurdly high.

  • I always hate looking at their renders; because it reminds me of what this game could look like if they didn't have to make it able to run on a potato for the sake of maintaining player count.

    @MojoTheFabulous

See, I wouldn’t even mind the high price if it was warranted and I felt like I had something to work with. The other part of the problem is that their trailer renders look VERY different than in-game.

Literally crushed my dreams of playing as the cool police officer Cybil, when I saw this. 😭
