Ds and undying nerf?

I play a lot of both roles, more survivor, I have found many less skillful players will win with undying ruin and ds unbreakable. I see a lot of people call for a ds nerf but I think if we nerf ds why not undying to?

you have to cleanse 2-4 totems to get rid of the killers perk, it requires 2 perks just so you cant lose it within 10seconds. survivors can still get undying first then ruin within a few mins. Totems are a second objective, which survivors actually need. maybe people should learn to loop, counter and actually play the game before complaining. im sick of playing survivor and having a brain dead team, its not ruin or undying that makes the survivors never do gens or able to lead on a chase. BALANCING THE GAME FOR BAD PLAYERS ISNT THE ANSWER. remember when red ranks could always hit great skill checks against nurse/spirit before their nerfs and still escape? yeah i miss those days when red ranks could play.

I think undying nerf would be reasonable if DS gets nerfed as well

I don't see the point of nerfing Ruin/Undying because it requires 2 perk slots and if Undying gets cleansed first and then Ruin, You're pretty much left with only 2 perks. It's a high risk high reward situation and no need in nerfing this combo unless they're going to nerf the DS/UB combo

    Neither deserve a nerf.

Ruin could see a nerf from 2.0x to 1.5x. Undying is fine as is.

Nerfing Undying + Ruin? Granted...for a price: nerf DS + Unbreakable.

As a killer main, I despise the idea of undying and ruin. I believe it's a cheap way to apply constant pressure. I'd make it so everytime they cleanse a hex totem, it does the same thing but the perk goes down a tier (for example ruin will start at 200% regression, then 150% and then 100%)

No fun allowed for anyone! That's balance, right?

No but really, nerfs make everyone unhappy. maybe if core issues with the game were addressed (lack of survivor objectives leads to genrushing which leads to undying+ruin, camping/tunneling/slugging sucks so much survivors will always use DS+unbreakable so they can get back to playing the game) instead of just nerfing everything we'd all be happier

Game would be in a better state if DS and Undying were gone. Undying specifically is gonna be a case of "We're designing this new hex perk but designed it with Undying in mind", so unless they plan to make all future hex perks token based, they're gonna be underwhelming on account of Undying. Much like DS already makes perks like Unbreakable far more useful than it actually would be and creates problem combos.

But you can't get rid of one without the other or the untouched side will snowball.

Undying now needs the MoM treatment because it is so overpowered.

Nerfing a survivor perk that has already been gutted, reworked and is now mostly decided by the killer is not even close to a fair comparison.

DS was already nerfed. Stop tunneling and it won't be an issue for you.

They are good, no nerfs needed.

Nerfed? It literally got buffed. Old DS just meant juggling to the hook or running enduring. And the skillcheck was actually hard.

wait wait wait, no counter to ruin/undying? like idk holding m1 which is the only object survivors have

I find exhaustion perks and ds/unbreakable far more troublesome in the right hands and no one has fun playing against OOO.

Let me slap survivors on the floor that jump in a locker? make ds deactivate after a hook? anything?

just change Laurie's perks altogether, then we can discuss other perks, because it just aint fun. that's what we all want.

I see many people on my post just talking about ds, I think ds is fine, what about ds+unbreakable

Players always run strongest perks they can get, so if few perks are overwhelmingly used, so they should get nerf hammer then. This is how it's always done in DBD. Now every survivor under the sun runs DS, because it gives 60 second immunity no matter what happens. Like wise undying and ruin need to be looked at as well then

I feel undying is fine. Maybe they might remove the aura reveal part but it's 2 perks to be effective. Ruin is useless unless the killer is applying pressure. Ruin was often destroyed early so it didn't see much value. Until Undying got here PGTW was the new gen slowing perk.

As much as I feel DS needs to be redesigned I feel they won't touch it. Sooooooooooooooo many survivors would instantly suck without this one perk and we all know the devs don't want to upset 4/5's of their customers.

I don't use the "meta" perks so no, not always. I actually run with auto-didact, and it's 100% clear to me why nobody uses it: It's terrible and often a detriment to your team. no fun allowed!

i really think rather than nerf perks that are necessary to fix this broken game (ruin+undying for genrush, ds/unbreakable/borrowed for all the ways killers can stop survivivors from having a chance to play the game) they should buff non-meta perks. buffs are so much fun, and if you've watched otz's videos on all perks ranked, youlll know how many USELESS and TERRIBLE perks there are lol. we need more buffs.
