Serious Post: What can The Twins do that other killers can’t?
There are a flood of “they’re weak”, “they’re unfinished” posts, but what about an objective view of things/advantages on what they can do better than other killers?
Please, refrain from time wasting sarcasm. I’d really like to only be reading responses from players that actually had a “ok that’s cool” moment, or were able to formulate a unique strategy with them, or unexpected perk synergy. Things like that.

Their only special thing they have is technically being able to be in 2 places at once almost unconditionally.
The hag needs her traps to be set off to be effectively in 2 places at once while all the twins need is to not have victor being punted to be in 2 places at once.
Other then that: Their broken status isn't special and legion can apply it for 60 seconds with an add-on and plague by default.
Victor's lunge is just a demo shred aimed slightly upwards.
They can't hide on buildings due to the 3 second timer before victor is forcibly recalled.
Trapper can already trap survivors in lockers with his bear traps so that's not even special.
The pig can force people to take off their trap power before they can leave(But her Mories unlike the twins if they try to escape)
The nurse can physically bypass pallets in a much better way the twins can.
Their group base Killer Instinct is just worse then legion's as legion can proactively use that information for more damage.
Hag's traps give about as much information as victor while possibly punishing survivors who trip them(Instead of punishing the killers by having victor being punted).
There's not much else positive.
For special negative exclusive to the Twins: They are the only offensively attackable and killable killer(EI not light burning as that only stuns/pallets are defensive by nature).
They have one of the only powers that can be literally kidnapped leaving them as a powerless M1 killer.
They are the only killer whose can have their power destroyed mid chase in less then one second with no negative ramifications.

I genuinely can't think of a reason to play the Twins. Charlotte is completely powerless. Victor can be kicked away, can't hook, can't injure the same survivor consecutively, and can be taken for 45 seconds at a time. I truly think this will be a bottom tier killer.

For clarification, a survivor is only Broken while they have Victor on them? And if so, incapacitated stops them from healing/being healed anyway, so Broken is a bit redundant anyway?
Or does Broken persist if they remove Victor?

Good question. I'd say ask the person who designed them, but I doubt even they know.

We don't know. Right now, as if the initial PTB release, the answer is nothing useful.
However, assuming that their counterplay gets the nerf hammer, Victor can pull of some amazing stunts. You can get people over smaller obstacles, you have some reasonable stealth potential, you can shut down a lot of main buildings, you can use Victor as bait, and my personal favourite: basic m1 chase til injure, then send out the gremlin to murderise (and hope that no-one else is nearby, or else Victor is toast and fails by default). But still, when it works it REALLY works. And I imagine it's pretty scary to go against as well.

Victor can jump over some things like windows and dropped pallets without being stuck in a "normal" vault/slide animation, and uhh... I'm not really sure what else. I feel like Charlotte should be able to kick him after unbinding him and put him on the other side of the map or something. Turn him into a real scout.

Victor acts as Tier 3 madness so they can't heal and the broken status only last as long as victor does.
So they lose broken if they throw him off or you hit/grab them.
So outside of being healed by a teammate the broken is redundant other then keeping them from healing while they kidnap victor.

I can't find a reason to play them either outside of retaining my 100% achievements. Planning on getting them with shards, getting them to 40, getting their achievements, and then shelving them for good. As much as I like their base concept the execution has made them not worth playing.

There getting buffed when they come out

Not sure why people are calling them weak already. Everyone called deathslinger, PH and blight weak on the PTB, and look at them now

Make survivors laugh. I'm sorry, I had to....😂😚

I feel bad for the devs.
It’s clear that this was a passion project for them based on the tweets they were posting leading up to the reveal (most being French/Canadian themselves).
And its great that they’re pushing themselves to come up with unexpected concepts for killers.
Blight being a “pinball” killer was a real curve ball.
But it saddens me and concerns me that so much focus was put into the creative side things, and they were seemingly blind to all of these issues with The Twins before launching the PTB.
Thats not to say that I imply things should be in a finished state for a PTB. That’s silly and would make a PTB pointless. But that they truly couldn’t “think tank” any of these problematic scenarios in house during their design and build time is bad.
I’m sure they’re feeling very embarrassed right now, and I feel bad for them, because they were so optimistic that they thought everybody was going to think that this was their best chapter to date.

DS is average at best due to lack of map pressure making him weak at high ranks.
Blight got buffed from PTB to live with QoL fixes and then more buffs afterwards with YET ANOTHER buff coming SoonTM
PH I think most people got too obsessed with the torment mechanic to notice his M2 window hits.
2 -
And we have no real information on the buffs. Numbers a crucial in DbD, and we haven't been given any. Who cares if Victor can hold survivor in a locker if it only lasts 10 seconds.

Viktor can down survivors in very quick succesion when they are injured so there is the snowball potential
In a 3 gen situation, if you can place Viktor between 2 of them you can have a pretty tight patrol lock on them.
If survivors didn't have that much control over them, they would be pretty solid imo

Victor has a faster movement speed, no red light, and the smallest hitbox in the game. He’s pretty unique. No terror radius even just loud growling

Probably issues with kidnapping him
Past that Victors abilty to down is just phenomenonal.... The abilty to down ppl over pallets is something truly terrifying on the hands of someone that decided "ayt imma main twins and become good with them" I say atta boy.
Also Victor has something very nice that a lot of ppl are gonna take for granted... And thats his unhook prevention... If you see someone doing a bt unhook pounce... Yeah they'll be injured but now they can't perform the unhook action they become a potato and now you gotta worry about 2 ppl.. And if someone alredy died and you just prevented the unhook.....well you got 45 seconds to decide if game is a over or not.
Not to mention on top that Charlotte loses her tr and Vic doesn't actually have a tr so there's some ways you could play around bt with them.

Die.

Jokes on you, hag can be in 11 places at once

This is the kind of teller that basically has me convinced they don't test anything internally like at all.
Like, people saw the glaring issues with them within the first hour of the PTB being live. If there had been even the tiniest internal testing done they would have saw the same things well before the PTB.

It seems the Twins where designed to be played against, not played as. Great concept, poor execution.

Camping without Insidious. At least this is what Charlotte was used for on the PTB.

Eh well, off the top of my head it's pretty easy to cancel loops by blocking doorways / windows and chasing with victor, I completely shut down shack multiple times doing this.
1 -
Well I've never seen another killer just lose their power like a misplaced TV remote....so I mean; that's pretty impressive right?
