Has anyone tried coup de grace on huntress during ptb?
If you have, was it actually helpful?

Why would it be?

Because you can easily safe those lunges for when you need them. Huntress is not m1 killer

Huntress doesn't have a different lunge range so it would work the same way it does for any other killer however with huntress you mostly want to be using your hatchets if it's possible anyway

I never said her lunge is different. I'm saying that unlike other m1 killer's she can injure you using only her power, preserving those lunges for when she needs them

Bubba, Billy, Demo and Pig can, theoratically, hold the lunges as well, but I don't think this perk will be good in any build for any killer.
It's too situational, and the requirements to use the perk at it's max is lose 5 gens. And even if you can use all the lunges perfectly (considering that you would not hit with the normal lunge), it's just five hits. There are so many perks that can give so much value throughout the game. I'm putting Coup right beside monstrous shrine.

In fairness. Huntress does have a hard time dealing with rock loops due to her movement speed and inability to hit hatchets through them. Coup De Grace could allow her to land lunges around the rock cutting the time spent running in circles down.
The killers you listed don't have such a problem.

You can force m1 out of billy and bubba 90% of the time and pig can only do it survivor in a deadzone. It is 5 lunges for 5 gens. But if you can cut even 3 chases by 30-45 seconds it will pay off. Huntress is 110% and on tiles with a short and long wall she needs to chase perfectly get the pallet down then break it. If you can completely eliminate that it will save you a lot of time and give you pressure

Yeah you got good points, it can pay off in some situations. But you can force huntress to M1 in a lot of places as well, and still is a very situational perk. I don't think I will trade any of the perks that I currently use on my huntress (Nurse's, BBQ, Pop and Whispers) for CdG.

Would've been ok on Huntress....if they didn't nerf it. It's now only going to be 60% and not 100%. So nah, it's another trash perk to be added to the ever-increasing pile. It's not even gonna be funny on killers like pig and Demo, because they're going to fix that by the time it releases, and it's not even gonna be far enough to be a fun thing to use on Wraith. Guess it was too strong in their eyes. In all fairness they did nerf gearhead, so coup de grace in its PTB state must've looked absolutely game-breaking.

Personally I thought it would've been decent on Plague. She has trouble confirming downs and I think with Coup De Grace she could get downs easier.
Also it may force other survivors to cleanse quicker.

In my recent plague games I had no problem with survs not cleansing, but quite the opposite. They cleansed right of the bat, not even being fully infected. Sure that gives me many damage-puke to use, but also forces me to use the fountains in order to not get them all reset. And prevents me using the normal puke for infecting ppl and objectives (better tracking). It felt legitimately more stressful then playing against non-cleansing folks, bc thats what I'm used to.

Depends on the ranks usually. Most red ranks refuse to cleanse.

All my recent 3-4 plague games where red-purple players. Only in the last game they refused to cleanse, which killed them in the end bc they played to bold and bc of Infectious. The other games were "cleansing parties" where some even escaped. Be it bc I suck at puking or the constant cleansing stressed me more so i could not play as effectively. In one particular game on Saloon where i played with the blight addon, I legit forgot each and every blight rush I earned bc the game felt so stressful. I could have made good use with the rushes for defending gens (has TInkerer, so knew where to go) or rushing past survivors on their run to the gate.

Anyone try it on freddy? I hear its the longest lunge ever.

I'll be using it on Freddy for sure. I wonder how many dcs I'll get

It'll be worth it on Freddy just for the long arms memes and to see the forum posts from that one guy who don't follow the news posting it as proof that Freddy's lunge is longer than everyone else's.
