What do killers want from me?
If I am stealthy, (while doing objectives and altruistic of course) I am trash talked endgame for hiding all game, but if I am outgoing and an active in taking aggro for other survivors, I am also trash talked (and sometimes face-camped) for being toxic... what do you want from me as a survivor, killers?

Anybody who complains about you doing what you need to do to help your team is just mad that you were effective against them with it. People just need to get used to being outplayed at times and accept that they're not a god

They want you to be challenging enough so they don't feel like it was poor matchmaking, but not so challenging that you escape.

They want you to be dragged into the sky by the entity

I've had more trouble with random teammates being mad. Here are the most bizarre ones:
- I said I will do totems before the match. I actually only did two and was chased for 3 gens and got the most points. They accused me of doing nothing the whole match.
- A random teammate got mad because I opened the gate.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't...

- Your blood.
- Your screams of pain.
- Your soul.
- Your tortured body.
- The Entity’s approval.
- A Kit-Kat.

Turn off chat/messages and just play how you want.

I'm a warrior.

I play 50/50 Killer survivor, I just ignore end game chat or embrace it, like earlier i had someone call me a camping king because I stayed around the final hook after door was open and they were all right there, Only time and I know this because I recorded it, and i don't camp until i need to... but told them to get over it and they didn't like that to much. If people are bitching at end either you got under their skin or they are trying to get under yours.

just walk into basement and let your friendly neighborhood killer hook you 3 times ^^

"Do you expect me to talk?"
"No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"

They want you to be scared of them and play like they’re a big scary killer, but not be immersed or difficult to track. So they’re wishing for something that can’t really exist. Maybe bots would have this playstyle.

Hold on, let me check my killer rule book.....
Ok, you need to do gens without completing gens, you need to attempt Cleansing without hitting any of my hexes, you need to unhook your teammates, but only if I'm in the area, you need to drop enough pallets that I can break them for points, but you can't actually use them. You can bring flashlights but you can't use them, you need to constantly wear the brightest outfits, and you can't use exhaustion perks.
In all honesty, as a killer main, all I expect is you to be a good teammate and not be toxic to me. By toxic I mean "intentional BM," not "use a playstyle/perk I don't like."

I want you to play.

They are playing lol! I very much hand clap and say to Mr Mushwin wow I didn't see them all game, they must of been good to keep hidden, if it's doing gens, sneakily unhooking and hiding I very much applaud them ^^

If your playing as Dwight, this is what I want
- Love and affection
- You to watch me kill your teammates
- NSFW stuff in the basement
- For you to be the best bf I've ever had
I'm really not asking for much!

Play the game the way you want. Other people's opinions don't matter, unless you're literally being a menace to society by the way you play.

Load in,
Find the killer,
Stand still for free hits and hooks,
Die.

No, i don't want them to play League of Legends. 😜

They want you not to try and survive, basically. If you do, you're toxic.

Why is it always 'I play 50/50', and then launch into a 'awwww poor killer' story.

These types of killers want a map that's open field, with a clear line of sight with no obstacles.

As a killer, i don't mind hiding. Of I come up on a gen and know someone was just working on it and I can't find them, I'm like "props, you get to keep on living." What I hate is teabagging in chase, double flashlight blinds, and multiple survivor body blocking. Sounds like you avoid all that so you're cool in my book

A sizable portion who play this game are relatively young (15-24) and do not fully comprehend others exist outside themselves. So, they use this game as a means to offer narcissistic supply, so they can feel “good/great/like a god at this game/etc.”. Wreck that image in some way, and you’ll meet their narcissistic rage in the form of their playstyle and postgame chat

What?

This literally just happened, leatherface complained we were hiding too well so when 2 gens popped after he found someone he tunneled everyone into the dirt, one person got out cause I got his attention in the end but he called it "the most annoying survivor strategy because he couldn't find us"

Exactly, I am not just gonna run up in your face as a survivor begging to be hooked, if you want to kill me, at least work for it

You know when you watch the DBD CG intro. That is LITERALLY what happens. Claudette gets insta hooked, Jake gets insta downed and Dwight gets insta found and the killer seemingly hasn't moved more than a few feet.
That ENTIRE opening sequence feeds players the wrong idea about what killers are and have to do (work for kills).

Don't DC
Don't heal in my exit gate, I will down you and hook you if I catch you doing it.
