I'm disappointed by the lack of innovation
Patch after patch we are seeing the same thing: New killer and Survivor with perks that fail to address core issues of the game and don't shake up the meta. They have extremely niche/situational perks.
And, a new archives rift to keep you busy and addicted for a while.
Oh, and have some cosmetics too. Not that you'd ever want to use anything other than Blendette if we're being honest.
THAT'S IT. It's getting stale!
Why can't we see new game modes? New items? New survivor actions? More gestures added? If they put a little effort, they could really breath new life into the same old game.

Honestly if they just shook up the meta that would be enough to make games feel fresh but they won't touch them for some reason.

New game mode would probably involve them rethinking perks. I love the idea, but they built everything around this one game mode.
F13 game at least allowed their counselors to do multiple things. There wasn't just 1 goal. some worked on fixing cars, other worked on getting boat parts, other tried to fix the phone to call the cops. It was fun to have multiple options of things to do.

If you're expecting them to ever add any new interactable gameplay elements outside of killer specific mechanics I highly doubt it will ever happen at this point. Enjoy your gens and totems.

Yeah, we've been asking for a 2v10 or 2v8 game mode, even if it's only available in KYF.

A new Game mode would make lobby waiting times even longer, so that won't be coming. But i'm a Fan of reworking the gen System to make this game a bit less of a loading screen Simulator. Also, i'd love to see Killer skin Packs added that wouldn't just change the Outfit of the Killer, but their Sounds and name too, for example the trapper could be called Jason Vorhees and their could be a Brandon James skin for Ghostface.
The store outfits are sort of expensive and charms, well I get they were trying but that's not really the kind of customization that's particularly fun or innovative. Just new ways to customize and perk reworks should make the game feel more fresh

They are already super overwhelmed with the 2 game modes we have.
I don't see them adding a new game mode anytime soon

I also think people forget that the development cycle for new content in this game takes around 9-12 months, so there isn't a flash solution they will ever implement because they run their game like a business (which I mean it is) so there will never be flash changes to something that they didn't decide 9 months in advance unless its EXTREMELY dire

I've always thought a blend of dbd and ft13 would be an amazing game if it's done right!

Yeah. It's so underwhelming patch after patch to realize they're apparently fine with the meta not changing for years.

there's enough perks currently that can be meta shifting if they were just tweaked

I would like to point out that Blight is the most recent Killer to be added and he shipped with Hex: Undying... which... did in fact shake up the meta in a very large way. Also they have been tweaking perks to try to make them more meta? Like... I don't think Tinkerer before its buff would have made it into the current killer meta.
Now the Survivor meta hasn't budged in a while, but a lot of that is just that the Decisive Strike + Unbreakable combo is ridiculously strong and adding something stronger is... probably a terrible idea. But even then they are trying. Power Struggle is a different take on a 2nd chance perk that works well with other things... so there's that.

Yeah it's not as bad for Killers. But you're right Survivors are stuck with Borrowed/DS/Unbreakable, mostly because getting camped/tunneled/slugged is the most boring thing in the world. I wish they'd release healthier or more fun alternatives to those perks.

Like I said... they're trying. But they're also trying to not create power creep. Like... For The People can be used vs Tunneling and Slugging. I think Tenacity got added after Unbreakable and I personally find it more fun. Flip flop exists and will combo nicely with Power Struggle. Pretty much all 3 of Steve's perks can help with at least one of those.
Granted, yes, most of these aren't more powerful than DS/Ub, but... power creep is a thing they need to keep in check.
