Can We Change Second Wind Finally?
I want to like this perk but the condition that you have to fully heal a survivor one health state by yourself makes it way too inconsistent.
If they've even begun self care, no perk. If someone helps with the heal, no perk.
And then you're left broken if you do get to use it.
I've tried to use it a bunch but it feels like maybe one in five games I actually get use out of it.
I propose you just change it to "heal a survivor one health state" and have it proc just for finishing a heal, just like Aftercare does.

I supoort this change.

I mean.. I thought that is how it would work. Never used it again after I got Steve’s adept, because even with that change it’s too situational for me and I would rather take Inner Strength..

For sure. It's not super powerful perk at all, which is why such a difficult condition to meet takes it from "hey this might be decent" to "throw it in the pile with no mither"

Thing is in some builds it could have a niche. Like a heal build of Second Wind/Autodidact/Empathy/Iron Will where you make sure your teammates are always topped up then when you get off the hook you can hop straight back onto gens, or in an efficiency build because you just need to finish healing one person even if only slightly then when you're next unhooked it's into the locker for ez second wind value. It's just too situational to activate rn and making it less finnicky is an absolute win imo.

The best way to buff second wind is to remove the prerequisite, have the perk activate once you are unhooked. Think about it, you can only get unhooked twice in one match, you can only use second wind twice. It's not even that strong, even when you take away the prerequisite it's still not that strong.

Agreed. I can see them wanting some kinda requirement for two free heals but you're right. Even with no condition it's not like it would suddenly become meta.

Totally agree with your SW concept, hope it happens!
I always bring We’ll Make It, so immediately following the unhook I pounce on them for the full heal. Once they see how quickly the progression is taking place, they are happy to allow my med skillz😃 Almost always get the swift, complete heal before anyone else gets there to join in.
That’s the easiest way I get Second Wind activated.
Jus a suggestion.

Yeah, I'd be down for that. It ain't really worth using as-is.

The timer for second wind is also terrible. Waiting for about 30 seconds to be healed seems to long. I don't see the point in it they should definitely rework this perk.

I would also cut the healing time from 32 to 16 seconds.

It’s meant to be used with Babysitter.
Babysitter tells you straight away whether or not it’s safe to immediately heal at the hook (to meet the Second Wind conditions), or to leg it and use your aura to lead the killer away from who you’ve unhooked, while they take advantage of the 8 seconds no blood/no scratch marks to follow.

It should be like those dumb "finish a gen" challenges: if you're there when it pops, you get it. Please ignore the fact that you basically did nothing because right now the perk itself could carry that description.
"Second Wind - Do stuff but nothing happens because screw you for even attempting to use something off-meta you pleb!
Also, I ate all of your left socks. Because ######### you, buddy."
Gods, I wish that perk didn't have such twitchy requirements. I love the idea, hate the execution.

I immediately combined them with Deliverence in my head and then made myself sad. Still, I'll give Second Wind/We'll Make It a go

I tried that too! Was disappointed when it didnt work lol

But even then, it's hardly reliable. And still not a great perk. I personally combine Babysitter with Distortion so I see the killer but he doesn't see me and then neither of us leave scratch marks.

Yeah, same, I’m still sad about it to this day😔
If you wanna be bold, you could run We’ll Make It, Second Wind, Off the Record and Object to capitalize on max perkability potential, or jus forgo OoO for something less intense and tunnel inducing.
Great “outside the norm” effective combo

I have leveled up Steve (on mobile, so I have to actually use it) to 37 and I have only gotten to use this perk once. I had it on from level 1, but I never gotten use out of it. It really needs a change.
