Killer Mains How Do You Do It?

How do you keep playing through the endless BS some survivor players throw at you nearly EVERY MATCH. GGEZ if they win, Endless cycle of excuse on top of excuse if you win.

Hell I'll go a step further, if you're one of the survivors(or killers) that feel the need be a [BAD WORD] after a game why do you feel the need to do it? I'm genuinely curious.

I’m not a killer main, that’s probably what helps. I play some killer, some solo survivor and some SWF so I never get too tilted by any one thing. And if I do, I take breaks from the game.

Oh no, they teabagged me and told me ggez after the match. I will go to the corner of my room, cry and never play this game again.

  • If that was all they ever did, there would never be a problem and you know it.

It's a relentless ever growing list of unpleasant frustrating experiences- and for you for example maybe they are not a big deal, but for most people they are, so they play survivor or something instead.

I tend to mostly play survivor, wanted to try mining killer. However I tend to get messaged every game. I can handle the heat but it makes me not wanna play after a drawn out argument.

Basically this, I mostly play survivor not because it's fun. But because the toxicity is alot more rare, Atleast for me.

If you want to shut them up, I have an easy strat. If anyone's seen the anime Konosuba, just act like Darkness (huge masochist), those ######### will get so thrown off they'll shut up and never be toxic to you again. Works every time for me.

if you give them a real run for their money they dont teabag. somtimes i even see the second they relise they cant do that.

in my last blight game a survivor dropped a pallet infront of me, started to teabag and suddenly stopped when i swung in my lethal rush, breaking the pallet and stunning me, the survivor paniced and ran and after the down <10 seconds later they stopped clicking and teabagging.

they lost that game 3 sacs and 1 d/c before death hook.

moral of the story: make them sweat

u play both sides. imo is idiotic to just play one side. and boring, especially if only survivor.

Between a mixture of improving my skill with killers and fine-tuning their builds, I find this game is a never-ending quest for optimization when compared to other games. The fact any survivor team can choose to run 16 unique perks makes me REALLY considerate of my own build, which again, I find really fun and competitive.

Thank you for your input, it means alot. I'm Sorry you guys have to go through this so often. I mostly play Survivor and I'm ashamed to say I was one of those types of people. Playing Killer more definitely opens one's eyes to how toxic this game can be. Which is a shame as its such a fun game

Because I genuinely enjoy playing as killer, more than survivor :)

One of the reasons I stopped being a survivor main is because of how awful it became to play. Killer is just more enjoyable for me rn.

If people whine and moan when they lose, direct their gaze to the scoreboard, drop a GG in chat and leave the lobby. You can let them cry on their own -don't have to listen to it.

In-game, you cannot let things like teabagging or grudges affect your mental. This goes for a lot of games much more complex than DbD, but still applies. DbD in the end becomes a game of timers and distances; a large part of being a good player is making good decisions. If you get tilted and decide to chase the clicky flashlight player who wants to turn you into a youtube compilation, you're only hurting yourself.

We can do it because you're either born a killer main, or you play soloq long enough to become one.

Oh, yeah, when I was on PS4 I just turned off my messages LOL. I got so many salty angry messages and I always ended up getting drawn into it. Just make your messages private.

at some point you just come to accept that there are some things you simply cant beat.

which means you wont get triggered by it anymore, which in return allows you to keep playing.

for example, i just had a very, very sweaty 4 man SWF (4 good items, everyone stacked with meta perks and super coordinated on gens) that obviously tried to upset me as good as they could. you know, teabagging in the exit gate and, when they didnt get the reaction they wanted, one of them resorted to spamming "ez" in the end chat.

a single look at their perks was enough to confirm to me that i didnt really stand a chance from the beginning anyway. 4 DS, multiple Unbreakable and BTs, Dead Hard, Sprint Burst, Lithe, you get the idea (plus i was playing a rather casual killer, who definitely wasnt my strongest, with weak Add Ons).

instead of triggering me, all they achieved was confirming my suspicion that none of them could survive without bringing all the OP stuff they had (they were pretty medicore players - only one of them was actually decent. everyone else just ran as far away from the gens as they could, so their mates could rush them easily in chases and then got mindgamed at the very first loop they actually tried playing on), which just made me more sad than anything.

still got 26k BP tho, which combined with BBQ was a very nice thing to have.

    Idk, i just ignore it.

I don't really mind either, i'd rather have them vent on me, an online stranger, than on their friends or family.

Cause again, i just ignore them while they type away.

There will always be some semblance of toxicity in an online game. Obviously the worst of the worst is few and far between, but when I come across that I just disconnect. I don't mind the time penalty.

But honestly DBD as a hole has grown very stale for me. The game continues to be filled with bugs (the recent chapter being a perfect example), common requests and complaints continue to fall on deaf ears, matchmaking is atrocious, and dead by daylight's one and only mode has grown very repetitive and boring. I find myself taking far more breaks than I ever have before, and I haven't even been playing this game a full year. If it wasn't for the friends that I play this game with I would have dropped it months ago.

I still don't know how you and others on here find so many survivors like this that you're comfortable generalising and insulting that entire half of the playerbase on the forums almost daily. I see a survivor group like this maybe once a week, tops. And they aren't even bad, they'll get salty but honestly who cares? Why do you and so many others care so much that someone sent you an angry message over a videogame? They have a right to express themselves in this way if they want to, and you even have the option of completely blocking what they say. Yet you keep your messages on and continue to complain about receiving them.

    ?????

I did turn off messages because it just got old. Whether playing survivor or killer, survivors loved to send messages about whatever they think I did wrong. I did not get messages from killers.

It's just sad that after playing a bunch of multiplayer games, it was specifically for DbD that I turned off messages and friend requests.

And in terms of "a right to express themselves," a lot of them break the terms of service for PlayStation or whatever platform they're playing on with the things they say. It is pathetic how upset people get over such a broken, unbalanced, buggy mess of a video game, mad enough to get their accounts banned.

It's really not that hard to play killer right now. In fact, it has never been easier. It has gotten to the point where I give the hatch 100% of the time to the last survivor because I know how ######### it is to play solo/duo queue right now. 4 man swf changes this a bit but 99% of swf teams are beatable. These forums would have you believe that playing swf turns your average survivor into a swf swat team all equipped with flashlights, toolboxes and assault rifles. It doesn't. Most of them are still awful

In terms of toxic survivors it has been probably 100+ games since I have had anyone upset at the way I played. And if someone t bags you or clicks a flashlight at you? Who cares.

This game has by far the most toxic community I’ve ever been apart of besides MW2 and B02. It’s every game of killer I play and the odd survivor game I play is just full of T-bagging, clicking, pointing. SWF is borderline unwinnable half the time at red ranks so I just don’t care. The second I get clicked at or T-bagged I genuinely don’t care if I win, I’ll just continue to slug and tunnel you over and over again until I kill you. I play in a way that’s fun for everyone and that I enjoy, but if you try to take that enjoyment away from me then idc if I depip, ur not escaping lol
