The only effective way of playing the twins is anti-fun for survivors.

Scott Jund talks about it in this video, but the strat is actually even more effective if done a certain way. You can' plop victor or switch near someone who is hooked. So the strat works as follows:

  • Down a survivor however you want.
  • Switch to victor
  • Move him under a nearby hook.
  • Switch back.
  • Hook the survivor under victor
  • You can now facecamp while doing other things. As soon as you hear Killer Instinct go off, you switch to victor, if the person is injured, you down them, if they aren't you jump on their head, and now they can't save.

This is probably the only way to actually play this killer effectively, and it is pretty anti-fun for both sides.

    Scott Jund invented Hag.

They probably did see it since it's directly caused by the balancing of this killer's power. I don't think there's a real way to fix it without a rework of some kind, since anything else will either make the twins op or nerf them to oblivion.

The effective way of doing pretty much anything is anti-fun for the other side. Tunneling? Unfun. Splitting on gens/gen rush? Unfun. Running DS,BT, BH, blah blah? Unfun. Ruin Undying? Unfun. Mori and Keys? Unfun.

If it's fun for the other side it most likely isn't good. There's exceptions, but that's the trend. Its either fun or effective, not usually both.

I am actually even more worried about the other point, the 4 man slugging potential. This has also been brought up a lot by Scorpionz, it is already horribly painful to watch, and probably even more painful and frustrating to be in such a game as survivor.

I see this playstyle a lot more than the remote face camp. I've just tuned in to a Twitch stream where the streamer was playing Twins, and it took about 90 seconds from when I started watching to witness yet another 4 man slug at 4 gens with Twins. I will from now on switch away from any stream where someone is playing Twins or against them, it's not fun at all.

As a 4 man SWF group you can probably prevent that to some extent by playing smart so that the killer doesn't get too much of an opportunity. If I'm playing solo and have no control over my teammates, there's nothing I can do if my three teammates don't play smart.

I really hope they fix these issues soon, I like the concept of the twins and would like to play them, I am mostly playing for fun so I don't need a super strong killer, but I don't want one I have to play "intentionally dumb" just because if I'd play "smart", I'd hate myself for it, and the other side would have a super boring game.

This just cements unbreakable as an amazing perk, if that was ever in any doubt. Also incentivizes bringing good medkits for more self-sufficiency, but realistically, that won't happen every game.

It is incredibly unfun to play against them and being slugged is probably the most annoying thing that can happen in DBD, you are effectively pointless and at the mercy of the killer and your team.

    They need to fix this

What this guy said, crouching doesn't activate killer instinct and it's like hag except you can safely disarm the trap without a light. This is not an effective strategy, survivors just haven't learned the counter.

I've figured out as much when I first started playing them. Victor is not a good tool against healthy survivors so the only good way to use him is as a literal baby monitor at hooks.

You can even get Devour Hope tokens while camping with him because it only checks where Charlotte is and not Victor.

    The idea:

    • - The twin "coop" on hunting survivors.

=> Victor finds a survivor, disable him so Charlotte can finish.

    The game:

    • - When one is on action, the other "sleeps"
    • Victor attack on an healthy survivor, cause Charlotte an M1 killer.
    • Victor doesnt totally disable healthy survivor, cause him dies
    • Victor can cause damage, makes him good at hunting multiple injured survivors

=> Charlotte damage survivors so Victor can finish them.

I remember someone asking do people like facing the Twins and I said no. These were the exact reasons why so it's nice to get validated by someone else agreeing.

I enjoy his videos, don't make me dislike the man 🙁

So players found an exploit. I doubt anyone figured out "the only effective way" of playing a killer in a few days.

The best way to shut down the Killer is to hide, yes its fun to sneak away, I do this often.

Seems like a tactic that works as long as people still don't know how to play against them, since survivors can sneak up to Victor and kick him before going for the save.

Yeah, this is true. A lot of the games I've played with the Twins have been a 3 or 4 man slug. People argue that the best way to handle the twins is to move as a group, but I disagree with that advice because the way I've gotten whole team slugs is because people do that. You just have to get in m1 damage (and a group of SWF people will take m1s for each other once one of them is damaged to spread out the aggression) and then you send out Victor who can just jump from person to person in a chain of slugging.

Yeah but when you switch to charollette you have a window of slow/no attack and also won't get the opportunity to outright prevent hte unhook since you won't know they're going for it until they've done it. You also cannot switch to victor while right next to the hook if I am not mistaken so you will be some distance away. Add a sprint burst or two and a DS on top of that and the unhook is as safe as can be unless it's like a basement hook.

Oh no survivors are not having fun what will we do, its not like BT exist, medkits that give you endurance, DS exist flashlight saves are a thing, sabotaging a hook requires doing something other than T-bagging. Killer sometimes wants to have fun you know.

Dont get me wrong i appreciate a good survivor when i see one and when they know how to loop, not fall for mind games, etc. It is steep learning curve, but the problem arises when the survivor understands what his/her task is and just rolls with it. And the task is to hold killer for as many gens as possible. This is even bigger problem if you are playing swf.

You know all those tactics of tunnel and camp that you call scummy, when i do that i not only feel helpless as i am unable to do anything other than that, but i also know that if i have the possibility of getting 4k someone will dc because oh no i got them and i am winning. It just kills me inside cause i do love this game but i can hardly enjoy it.

I mean why not address the issue which is the biggest problem at the moment and that is that three killers are currently bugged and suffer because they cant use their power correctly.

But hell did you see those cosmetics hella lit ngl.

It's not unlike the dev's to add a killer that's not only miserable for the survivors, but for killers too.
