Bubba’s who refuse to chainsaw

The title of this post.

I’m not kidding. Me and my friends have run into this multiple times since we started playing together. We even ran into this twice tonight. Bubba’s who absolutely, no matter what circumstances, refuse to use their chainsaw and decide to instead hit you with Sloppy Butcher, of all perks.

Can anyone please explain to me the point of using this perk on a man with a chainsaw and why, for the love of God, they won’t play any other killer in the game who benefits more from that perk?

    Maybe they’re Bubba newbies who want to get good at the killer and area little gunshot after survivors have ran their chainsaw attempts into objects in the past. So now, if the perks they have unlocked, they use one that they like on other killers.

    I've had games with Bubba where I never ended up using the chainsaw. If you don't have good add-ons to it, it can be incredibly risky to try to chainsaw people. If I'm not in a spot where I KNOW that chainsaw is going to land, I'm not going to bother and just bop you on the head with my meat hammer instead.

    Then at that point, why chainsaw someone already hurt?

    I forgot to mention this bit, so sorry about that. All of us are in purple ranks, nearly red. If we were in the higher ranks I’d understand, but these Bubba’s have also all been in similar ranks.

    One other funny thing I want to mention is that one time, just to see if he would, I ran into the field at the Macmillan house to see if he would even bother trying to use his chainsaw.

    he didn’t he meleed me and let me boost off to shack. This continued for the entire game.

    This last tangent was just something I personally found both annoying and funny

    if they're not hurt it depends on the situation, if they are hurt it's easier to just m1 them down. Sloppy butcher only works with m1 hits not chainsaw hits too so that could also be why.

    A lot of Leatherface players are very new to the game, because they heard they should buy him to unlock BBQ, and they obviously don't have it unlocked as a teachable yet so they're using Bubba for a while to get their bonus BPs. So therefore a lot of bubba players aren't comfortable using his chainsaw at all. They'll rev up, start sawing, and once survivors start to take corners tightly or spin around they panic and smash into a wall and suffer a huge cooldown while the survivor shoots off into the sunset never to be seen again. His power isn't very noob friendly and it takes time and good knowledge of killer and all the maps and tiles before you learn how to use his chainsaw to bait and zone survivors.

    It's not just bubba players, there are plenty of killers who don't use their powers. Remember that a killer that doesn't use their power isn't a bad thing since they're only putting them-self at a disadvantage.

    Everyone is pretty much told to buy Leatherface DLC but not because of his power.

    Cause of BBQ and chili, so they wont really learn Leatherface they just play him to help with grinding

    Could be people on a nostalgia trip, people who liked billy before but just dont like the chainsaw now still playing their main.

    As someone who use Sloppy butcher on Bubba I'm hurt :(

    Though my reasoning for it is that you'll get to use to your Chainsaw very rarely against Players who knows what they're doing sometimes you don't get to use it all if you don't have very good add ons.

    Maybe the Bubba you faced isn't confident in using his Saw in a corn field.

    People buy Bubba to unlock BBQ and Chili, they dont buy Bubba to learn Bubba and become a Chainsaw God. SAD. 😐️
