Nurse | Trying to remove Blink recovery cooldown
I'm not a fan of cooldowns on Killers that could exist without them, so I will try to remove a cooldown from Nurse, without making her like the old Nurse.
The Nurse
- Removed the Blink recovery cooldown. (The ugly red bar around the power icon)
- The Nurse always has her 1 Blink ready after Fatigue.
- Chain Blinks are only available if Nurse fully charges her first Blink.
I literally got this idea while showering, so I didn't put a lot of thought into it, I just wanted to share it with people and listen to what they think about this idea!

The problem I see with this is that Nurse is too reliant on both of her blinks. If you need to charge your first blink everytime to maximum to get your second blink, you will have a lot of trouble getting survivors around tiles.
I also don't enjoy the recovery cooldown but I think it isn't punishing a good Nurse player.
I play her with a purple/green range add on and only one recharge. Eventhough I have the cd on my blinks the range add on is covering that up to an extend where I think it is a more powerful combination than using both recharge add ons.
I would love to have old Nurse base kit back, simply because I don't like the idea of being reliant on add ons to play a certain killer properly, but I also think she is fine in her current state. Much harder to learn, but still insanely strong.

Honestly the cooldown on nurse isn't that impactful, it's only a few seconds and survivors are barely faster than you.
Nurse moves 3.85 m/s
Survivor moves 4.00 m/s
Without addons the nurse comes out of her fatigue .5 second away from having her 1st blink charge and an additional 3 seconds from the 2nd blink charge for a total of 3.5 seconds.
3.85 m/s x 3.5 s = 13.475 meters
4 m/s x 3.5 s = 14 meters
14 - 13.475 = .525 meters
The cooldown causes the survivor to gain a half a meter of distance on you with NO addons. That can be lessened with addons.
Conclusion: Nurse would absolutely be weaker because of the suggested change
The main thing the cooldown does is give the survivor a small window to attempt to break line of sight and mind game the nurse.
Being forced to fully charge your blink would make it much harder to get hits on survivors

Probably you're right, like I said, I just hate cooldowns.
About the math, I think you also need to count with the Fatigue movement speed, with the movement speed of the blink charge, etc.

The math just shows the impact of the cooldown, the fatigue and blink charge time would apply regardless of cooldown. The survivor absolutely gains distance in those moments, but that's no different to if there was no cooldown..

The math was never the important part of the whole Nurse nerf. Survivors wiggle enough and travel around corners so many times that straight line comparisons between killer and survivor are essentially meaningless. The biggest issue is that what the devs did to Nurse just simply makes her less fun to play. They did nothing to change how lethal she could be, and they did everything to make sure killers stopped choosing her. From there, the devs stopped seeing complaints about Nurse because survivors don't play against her anymore in any significant capacity.

Sigh, I just wanted the cooldown to be removed.
Dead by Cooldown Bars, yeeeey...

The cooldown is needed and actually is very smart and balanced the way it's implemented. Prevents nurses from just zoning ppl by holding their second blinks.
