Remove Disconnect Time Penalties

I'm sure I'm not the only person playing this game with poor people internet.

I get dropped out of a game pretty much every 1-3 matches.

It is not fair to give me a stacking penalty just because I don't have the priviledge or means of splurging on top internet connection.

I play this game less because of the time penalties. When I reach up to 15+ minute time bans I usually just turn off the Xbox.

So what if people disconnect? Why even bother punishing quitters? Can't you just report people for being "early quitters?"

What do these report buttons even really do in this game anyways?

i'm sorry you can't afford a better internet but disconnecting ruins the match for the other players and if BHVR have to choose between you and 4 other people's entertainment you better believe that the entertainment of the 4 take priority over you this applies to all other successful businesses. please the masses screw the individual outliers.

randomly my game freezes and crashes. nothing to do with my internet or anything, just the game being poorly optimised. they should temporarily turn it off until next hotfix

Why 4 other players have to throw their games cause of you? It's your problem that your internet is #########.

It is entirely fair that you get punished for making everyone else suffer because your system doesn't meet the requirements. And yes, a stable internet connection is a requirement for an online multiplayer game.

honestly I'm sorry you have that kind of internet, but you can blame the people that were using dc's rampant mid 2019 and early 2020 when it was put in. I just saw a match that someone dc'd while they were being recovered by another player. for no good reason. you can always submit a ticket to behavior and talk to them about your internet connection but I don't know what that will do as I've never tried it but it is an option in their ticket system.

if on pc, you should check what else is going on in your windows logs and look at any warning and urgent notification you have in the time frame of the last dc. then i'd verify your download files. on console i'd check your console to make sure the os is not messing up and then check your download files for the game. lots to look at in a game crash, can't just say oh nothing else crashes my system so it has to be their fault. could be a problem with the program files becuase your os didn't save something right, or misread information or many other things.

I see alot less people DC now but it still happens way too often, dc on hook before hook when downed slugged etc. Dc penalties helped a little they shouldn't remove em, my pc crashed just as I was at exit gate and I got 5min cd it happens but it helps making the game more fun with less DCers

How on console would you check such things as you suggest? I find no options like this on my Xbox anywhere, just the ability to uninstall then reinstall the entire game. Can't look at "files" like that. No crash logs or anything. No OS monitoring for health or whatever.

I too drop out of matches from time to time, occasionally picking up the penalty. It is more due the to iffy optimization than the internet connection. Steady ping or frames are kinda unheard of on console, especially on the Xbox1 or PS4. But that 60 fps minimum is still coming soon, right?

This newest release has been buggy as hell.

But the d/c penalties remain intact. What a joke.

I do not own an xbox and probably never will but google showed me this:

    1. Navigate to the game in your Library and click on the cog icon.
    2. Once open, click Verify in the drop-down navigation.

there is how you check the game files and that will help. there are probably ways to work with the operating system though on console this is not as easy as it is on a pc because of the fact the companies don't want people messing with it. now here is the rub you can check to make sure you're up to date and if not that can be part of your problem, especially if the program is making use of features that are not present because the update is not downloaded properly or at all

yea that is true, not all bugs cause game breaking issues so why should the dc penalties be lifted? just because it's raining out does it mean the speed limit is lifted or lowered? well it is left to the cop to decide if they want to issue someone going 35 in a 55 because of the rain/weather conditions (if they think that speed is too fast for the conditions).

As you suggested I tried this, and not seeing anything labeled "cog" within the library I tried everything else in there and nope. Perhaps it is something only on a new Series X but nothing I could find on my Xbox1.

I do appreciate the input though is consolers have limited info when it comes to this stuff.

a cog is the cogwheel that is used almost universally for the menu options of settings. but if you are curious you can always contact microsoft, but stop blaming one group without even knowing where the problem actually lays.

I think DC penalties should be removed until the next hotfix, many many bugs that makes you being unable to play properly.

    You answered your own question.

I guess tru3 didn't whine about it so they didn't need to remove it.
