Why does it take forever to do a totem but kicking Victor takes 2 seconds?

It's in the title lol. You could easily kick a totem or stomp it and call it a day. Why all the rubbing and moaning when doing a totem? I wonder what the devs were thinking when they made it lol.

Not complaining, just an observation (That I'm sure most of you noticed)

The implication is that stomping a Hex Totem is not the proper way to remove a curse.

"But then why do they take so long on Dull Totems?"

If you were to ask me that next: You got me there, i got no lore idea for why that's the case, but gameplay-wise it probably just made sense to make it similar.

As for why kicking Victor is much faster: He regenerates?

I can't look in the devs' minds, but that's all i can think of.

Both kinds of Totems are permanently gone, Vic respawns in less than a full Totem cleanse.

It would make sense to make kicking him really short, considering he moves really fast.

I just thought it was funny how you can kick a little demon spawn in 2 secs and spend 15secs (Not sure exactly how long) on a dull totem lmao.

I personally still find it weird how it's referred to "crushing Victor", but you definitely don't do any crushing.

He also just melts on the spot, while that kick seems like he should be flung a few meters.

I like the animation of him melting, but the initiation makes it feel misplaced.

Gameplay wise, the Totem time is for balance. Lore wise, it would make sense to kick the dull totems. Maybe they still have dormant power held within, and the only way to solve it is to grunt at those bones.

Or maybe the Entity put stupid juice in the Survivor's hot cocoa.

I know right? I wish it said "Kick Victor" instead. I'd love to see him go flying lmao

I'm pretty sure that hex totems burn, since when a survivor is working on one, they make little noises like *oof*. And for the dolls idk there. But they could also be held together pretty well.

And for the victor part. Victor is literally trying to kill them, so they'll trie to remove him the fastest way easier or die. And since the totems are strongly held and have no threat towards them they will take a little time to ensure its broke.

Totems are permanently gone, as are the perks associated with them. Victor may be eliminated quicker, but Charlotte gets him back pretty quickly and there's no limit to his usage.

Plus Victor can literally kill you, totems cannot by themselves.
