I think everyone should calm down
There's a lot of stress around here, and I reckon it's time for everyone to calm themselves down. I believe that the devs are trying to solve the large amount of bugs rn, so we should show patience since fixing bugs isn't easy at all. They need to find em, recreate them and figure out a solution about em, which is not gonna be easy. The game's code is already pretty complex, so I wouldn't just call them bad programmers.
But hey, that's just my opinion. If you're mad about whatever is going on with the new chapter you shouldn't keep posting the same ######### over and over again on the forums since I think that they got your message. Positive reinforcement is way better than complaining in the forums.

Everyone will not calm down. They will, in fact, calm up.
(Cookie for anyone who gets the reference.)

You mean all 154 bugs? Which will probably take them an entire chapter to fix?
42 -
I'm sorry but people frustrations about the current state of the game are 100% justified (at least to a certain degree).
And i'm not really sure if they really get the message or else we wouldn't have this dumpster fire of an update right now. This company just keeps messing up over and over again. And people are entitled to criticize them for that

There's a thin line between criticize and spreading lies/hate

"You need to.. calm up!" is this the reference you are alluding to?

Nope.

dern it, gotta gimme a hint

RDA. Those are the initials of an actor who was in the show I'm referencing.

Yeah, and that's what we're doing. Criticizing the dev's.
12 -
Which is why i said that their frustrations are justified to a certain degree.
Criticizing is ok,insulting and lying isn't.

yeah I am not one for knowing a lot of shows too bad for me I guess, no cookie

You are referring to your list that includes stuff that definitely doesn’t count as bugs?
of course not everything will be completely fixed then.. but they are working on fixes and will have prioritization. Also there could be bugs that have same/related origins.
pretty sure your list -while subjective- will also help them! (Though I only read the first few points..)
1 -
And what about the 250 more bugs that come from fixing those?
3 -
They shall be become intentional features
1 -
Okay.

Some people actually bought the chapter. Why should they calm down if half the perks aren't working correctly, Victor gets stuck in the ground etc.
How can you justify this mess of a chapter by saying 'show patience since fixing bugs isn't easy at all'.
If anything, that kind of attitude just encourages BHVR to release more buggy, unfinished chapters.

I do agree with you here although. A company needs criticism in order to get better Since what we have now isn’t good at all this game needs a operation health just like in siege

Calming down doesn’t equal just accepting things silently.
but constructive criticism will be heard and listened to. If all someone does is cry and insult the devs they won’t change anything..

...I'm sorry? You just lumped lies and hate together immediately after saying criticism borders on lies?
0 -
I'm completely calm.
1 -
I get what you're saying but they really shouldn't have released this chapter in its current state. People would have been mad about the delay but it would be appreciated in the long run.
3 -
I just don't log on anymore. not even for those sweet sweet 10k bp.

Here's a crazy idea...
Maybe they should have fixed the bugs BEFORE pushing them to live... You know, like a lot of people suggested after seeing the pathetic state of the PTB. Instead, we got the ptb bugs PLUS dozens more (even if you don't count the ones that "aren't actually bugged"), including completely broken perks and killer powers.
Yeah, no, they don't deserve a pass.

I been waiting for bug fix since I started the game. How long do I need to wait?

went through this WHOLE thread to see what reference you were making.. alas im as clueless as when my journey began. i didnt even read any of the comments that were intended for this thread lol

At this point, it is what it is. I came back just for the hell of it, but with this fiasco, it just isn't worth it all that much. The Overwatch Winter Wonderland event should be coming next week, Cyberpunk 2077 comes this week, and I have plenty of books to read (my TBR list seems to be endless).
Unless their team is much bigger than people have assumed and stated, it's going to go any of the following ways:
1) The bugs are going to take forever and a day to fix because they still have the next DLC to get done and out in three months.
2) The bugs aren't going to be fixed and will just linger around for the gods know how long.
3) The bugs will get fixed, but then there's a real risk of it eating into development and quality time on the next DLC, and the cycle continues again because they've shown they're unwilling to postpone or forego a DLC.

I am pretty calm right now

I doubt this would be happening if this chapter were licensed... oh well

They have stated before release that this chapter is unfinished and a hotfix is due soon, it is OPTIONAL to buy this chapter. People don’t have the right to complain because they knew what they were walking into.
0 -
Adding on to your point, people buying a buggy chapter isn't gonna "encourage BHVR to release more buggy, unfinished chapters" because they know it's bad for game health and if this game dies before they can get something else established their company dies along with all the jobs held by those working there.

Demsfighting words :P

._.

I don't think that the design team is the same with the bug fixing team
0 -
Sure, it's optional to buy the chapter but my main, Legion, is broken whether I buy the chapter or not, but I can't complain because I somehow knew Legion would be broken, right?
0 -
A chapter is pretty generous considering they fix like 30 bugs in a span of 3 months and create 60 more in the process lol

My goodness folk have some strong feelings.... O__O' *gets the popcorn bucket out*

Indeed. Here's your cookie: 🍪
Now which specific Stargate series and scene? You get an extra cookie if you get that.

I love the people who are saying "lOl, wiTh a FiX, ThEy'll BrInG 9999 nEw BuGs lMaO, jUsT DeAl WiTH it", but can't even write a line of code producing "Hello World" in any language, thinking that it's easy to make a game.
2 -
Can you?
Besides we're not the ones who should know what we're doing, the devs are.

If you release something in an unfinished state but then promise that things will be fixed, it's reasonable to be angry over it. If you spent money on something bugged to the ground (literally) and can't play it, you can be angry. If you learn that the easiest way to play a specific killer is boring and isn't fun, you can be angry.
It isn't unreasonable to be angry over these things, and it's 100% justified until BEhaviour proves everyone wrong and makes a massive fix, optimizes the game, and fixes all the jank and server bs that still plagues the game.

Really hope people chill out soon. I mean, it's Christmas, and people are being whiney dicks about a videogame. If the bugs bother ya that much, go join the company.
0 -
That question, you made my day xD
In fact the Devs are supposed to know what they're doing, but if they did pretty bad coding in the start of the game, and didn't change anything, I won't say it's impossible to change that, but it would take almost an entire year to optimize the whole game.
