The mori nerf is a step in the right direction
Was the mori nerf a good nerf? I will say yes, or at least it is better than what it was (what it "was", I can't believe I am saying this). This was too powerful as it was before and now that it is nerfed, I feel like BHVR might actually be starting to fix big issues. However, this is a bit of a stretch. But still, first the clown and wraith buffs and now this? Things are looking up, I hope it stays this way.
I am pretty sure they are looking at keys next, which is also fantastic.
Now, I am still hesitant on buying things from BHVR. This is great news, the best we have heard in a while. Let's just wait and see where this goes. I wouldn't fully forgive BHVR just yet, but it seems they are starting to get on my good side. Right now, let's just hope for the best.
I will admit however, that it would have been nice to nerf both keys and moris at the same time so that way neither are spammed before their nerf.

No it was not, Survivors dont wanna die in dead by daylight and they just heed the complaints from noob players with Dead hard, DS<, unbreakable, adrenaline

Yes, but they should have released key and mori nerfs same time. This makes them look obviously very biased.

Keys are next. They’ve already made killer 10x easier yet....still complaints.

So you are telling me that this was not a good change because they just listen to survivors 100% of the time? Are you also implying that the old mori's were fair? Because if so, that is not true. The fact that a killer can hook a survivor and immediately kill them after they are downed again is just outrageously unfair.

Agreed, but this is the first time in a while that we have gotten a major balance change. We are lucky they even did this. I also believe that they are a little biased towards survivors, but right now I think it is best to just be patient. Things are starting to look up and I hope everyone can stay calm and civil about this.

Yep, moris needed a slap in the wrist. Key's changes are more complex than the mori, so I think it's justifiable nerfing the latter before the former.

That's what I can't wrap my head around. If moris and keys were nerfed at the same time, I think it would be pretty universally applauded. Mori change was also announced the day it was implemented, so no mori spam, which is great
Except... now we know keys are up next, so who is going to hold onto their keys now? And how long before that rework comes in? I don't even disagree with the mori nerf. It's just angering when they don't balance both sides at the same time. Should've waited until the key rework was done to implement this, imo

This mori change was a disgrace and an insult

Explain why please.

How long have we waited? How many creative ideas were posted here? As someone who gave one myself its rather degrading the only option they went with was changing a 1 to a 2..the path of least resistance , thats all this was worth to them?

I think the nerf was too much as Moris are mechanically useless now. Moris have been nerfed twice while keys haven’t been touched.

But what do you expect from BHVR? They don't really listen to us about anything really, at least they are changing the nuclear options. You have to remember that BHVR doesn't really take into account (for the most part) our suggestions, and even if they acknowledge them they are still just that, suggestions. Obviously, I would say that there are loads of other better options instead of what the devs did, but it is still better than what we have now.

You are right. I feel like there is a more creative approach to a change like this. But would you rather be morried off of first hook, or second? Like I have said before, having the yellow mori be basekit and only work if you kill 3 of the 4 survivors via sacrificing them. That way, we see more mori action in game without creating unbalanced gameplay since if the last person is caught they are dead regardless.

I think they were overnerfed to the point of useless. As a player whom went from killer main to 50/50 survivor to trending toward survivor main, i think the moris were powerful but forced you to adapt a different playstyle. It sucked being morid off first hook but i always took saw it as a challenge to do as much as possible before the inevitable end. Now they dont change the game at all except for making DS a little less powerful.
Bad change in my opinion. Ebony mori are now not worth the 7k bloodpoints.

Like I said, it is better than what we have right now. I really do believe there is a much better and balanced change that could work for moris.

Yea because killers who camp and tunnel to one hook Mori a survivor aren't noobs eh?
0 -
Let's agree to disagree..it just flipped whos getting screwed
1 -
I guess you could say that lol
1 -
Well now I'm going to be forced to dump bp on an offering that makes me lose points
0 -
I mean you aren't really forced to buy the moris.
0 -
Lol I am if the blood web says so or if there's another item I want being blocked by one , plus its potentially robbing me of other iris that could actually be useful.
1 -
Well yeah, but that just falls into the bloodweb being outdated which brings me to another point, the bloodweb should be reworked.

I think the change was pretty reasonable. Will help stop people from dying after first hook and with some good teamwork it can prolong that first Mori from happening for a while. A lot of people saying all survivors should be hooked once is crazy, I believe this is way too strong of a nerf. Against a strong and coordinated team it be extremely difficult to be successful. In the end if one person just hid the whole match your Mori would be completely useless. The biggest issue I see with this 2 hook change is survivors being petty. Play the game until their second hook and then purposely dying to rob the killer of getting the Mori. Just like survivors who hide when they are the last survivor and downed. Like why drag it out, you were bested now just take your hook like a champ.
I was more towards the idea of needing a certain number of hooks before the Mori was active. Perhaps needing 4 hooks before you are able to Mori and it still requiring the survivor being Mori'ed to have been hooked at least once.

Sure..but not likely

Yeah, but moris were nerfed and I don't think people were really expecting that, so who knows right now?
0 -
The mori change is exactly why I have no confidence
0 -
Before people cry about the change to moris remember, would you rather be moried off of first hook, or second?
