Very Disappointed in the Devs decision to not nerf keys as well as moris.

For one Im very happy about the Mori nerf as I thought it was greatly needed because of how unfun it was, BUT why didnt they nerf keys as well? They vaguely told us they will at the same time as moris but decided to not do it. Why? Keys are just as if not more BS then Moris yet they get to stay? Now Survs are more OP as ever with basically nothing a killer can do to stop a 4 man key group unless they are lucky enough to be playing their main AND have Franklin's. This really goes to show the Devs incompetence when it comes to balance and their bias towards survs.

And yes a "4 man key group" is hyperbolic as that was the point, but still the point stands that if any one brings a key its now best to just leave or tunnel. Neither of those choices are fun for anyone, and I predict that DbD will become even more heated and unfun in the coming days as Survs abuse their power and Killers tunnel.

they are its just reworks take longer than a number change on moris. Both have been confirmed already.

I enjoy it as survivor, but as killer I will just keep on bringing Franklin's until the keys are reworked. I will carry on like I always have, just gonna have less frustrations as survivor. Good enough, I suppose.

"time" could mean either 2 weeks 2 months or 2 years, and with the new power vacuum created with the nerf I don't how long I can wait until I simply stop playing until its fixed. Player numbers have been dwindling for awhile now and this wont help in the slightest.

Keys will be showing up a lot more now in lobbies.

Also Broken Keys, just to trigger Killers.

This game has been going on for a long while now and mori's/keys have always come up as an issue, and only now has mori's been seen too, I personally only think keys and mori's have been more had since the rift came out, but I mean I don't see many run keys as many as I do mori's but that's just me.

“Confirmed.” Yeah, they said key changes where coming back when they first nerfed Moris. I’m still waiting.

Keys will get a change as well. Because moris are offerings it's easier to be changed. Keys, on the other hand, are a different story.

Keys are not nearly as over powered as moris. Keys literally only effect the end game. Moris in their own state effected the entire game.

I've played 1000s of games as killer and have had 2 or morw escape by hook maybe 20 times (that's a generous amount btw).

I've been hooked, tunneled, mori'd less than 5 minutes into a game way more than 20 times.

I've had plenty of games where I have had a key and can't even find the hatch before running into a killer.

I'm not saying keys never come into play, but they rarely save a team and even then, gens were completed to even make the hatch in play.

Surprise they didn’t do it together, but I guess they had a lot on their plate because of the Twins. Keys will get there nerf soon. I expect the mid chapter or the next Chapter

They're working on it. Keys take more time to change than moris so just be happy that moris are out.

Items are supposed to be "useful". A key has to be worked for. If they keep nerfing stuff, they need to remove the bloodweb and remove chests because toolboxes are already useless.

My only fear is that the smart survivors will realise keys are on the chopping block and use them all up while pretending it was difficult to key out.

Yep, just an overwelmingly bad decision making process. Everyone knows they're the counterparts on both sides with basically the exact same problems, but let's just nerf one because it's ready and leave the other for what could be another year or two.

Personally I'm also pretty annoyed that this means one in every three bloodwebs for killers now has a 7000bp node that is utterly worthless instead of an ultra rare add on. It's just like all those worthless purple offerings we get forced to buy except more expensive.

And because they favor survivors, they changed many maps to be less survivor sided and more balanced, buffed many killers in the past and added some strong new killers and perks, Undying being a particular standout.

The fact they also threw it into a HOTFIX with no warning at all seem sketchy AF as well.

That's what I've been doing. It's been pretty funny plus with the wedding ring I can get Bond on a teammate for free.

So a few things.. Mori's are an offering that have no other details to worry about. Keys are an item, they have many factors that come into play such as add-ons, perks, hatchs, maps, and hatch offerings. They take a lot longer to "fix" because of how complex they are.

And lets face it.. At the end of the day, Mori's are a hell of a lot stronger than keys and should be a priority over them. Keys are used when roughly 80%-100% of the survivors objective is done. Where as mori's were useable when only 33.3% of a killers objective were done. So the nerf makes it so killers need to have 66.6% of their objective done still putting them way ahead of the amount of work a survivor has to do to use their key.

Personally, I've never needed a Mori to win against keys; yet Survivors 9/10 times would need a key to beat a killer that first hook Mori's people.

They've been made mecahnically useless though. They are a cosmetic item now for the most part. And while keys might take longer, numerous good suggestions have been made for them. Animations do take time, but they managed to put out new generator animations before keys. And Keys have been talked about as long as Mori's. Mori's have been nerfed twice, keys have been untouched. When Mori's where first nerfed, keys where promised to be changed. This was 3 years ago and we still have nothing.

The original Mori was even worse though.. it allowed you to mori anyone without them even having to be hooked. They were still 1000x stronger than keys ever were. Mori's arent mechanically useless and can come in clutch at end game when you need to secure that kill. They still bypass DS, Flashlight saves, Pallet saves, Power Struggle, Sabotaging and save you the time of having to find a hook.

I said worthless. Not useless. That have minor use; but are not WORTH taking them or even paying for them in a blood web.

I think keys need a rework for sure, but i can see why moris get the priority: there's no way to "get rid" of a mori. If they use it, They get the effects all game. Keys can be gotten rid of with Franklin's demise or tunneling the key holder and then making sure you don't give the other survs a chance to pick it up.

And I'm a killer main, so this isn't a selfish opinion.
