Why is it a flashlight can completely counter Wraith's power?
You waste so much time because you're practically forced to uncloak and chase them at base speed with absolutely nothing else to help you.
Of course, you can hide behind a wall to stop them from burning you, but then that gives them extra seconds to make it to a pallet.
It's one of the most frustrating things about playing Wraith.

Some older killers have these kinds of item-counterplay such as Nurse and Hag
I guess the devs just haven’t thought of removing it? These are all killers that could do with a little less counter play

Yeah it's very outdated. A lot of people are using flashlights now so whenever I alt tab into the game and the match already started I'm just greeted by misery.

As long as you are not locked in an animation (aka Pallet Break), you should be fine by moving away from the Flashlight to avoid getting burned.
But it is an outdated mechanic that should be removed. It basically only affects Wraith, since nobody would really try to burn a Nurse (let alone that quite a bunch of people dont even know that you can burn her), so the Lightburn-Mechanic should be removed from those Killers.

They should just remove the burn mechanic from Wraith and Nurse imo. It's outdated and unnecessary.

Wraith is one of the next killers to get a (small) rework/tweak.
they said something along the lines of ‚true invisibility‘ as a teaser. Maybe that will get rid of the Wraiths weakness towards flashlights

Don't hide behind the wall. Start running circles around them until they waste it

Probably will be much harder to pull off once they make him fully invisible in the mid-chapter
