Knodding killers
Any high rank survivors get a kick out of bad killers that knod when they finally catch you because you have a bad group of randoms that either don't do gens or rush to save and do terribly at it? I get a lot of these killers and its usually funny but sometimes also annoying because they've gotten the satisfaction of a 4k despite being some of the worst or most average skilled killers there are. Yet they win due to bad mistakes on the survivor's part and the ridiculous amounts of dead zones on reworked maps

what does knodding mean?

Easy Knod tech

I love nodding my head at survivors if they were being toxic or just to be funny which happens most of the time. Have you ever experienced the deathslinger reeling headbang? It is so funny to experience. My favorite killers that do this are deathslinger if he is reeling you in, demo, and billy.
12 -
Its not like killers can win against 4 good survivors, the game is balanced around having a potato or two that keep making mistakes.
14 -
I hear you.
I had a huntress nod at me the other day and I ran her for 3 gens +. I was like good for you, but why nod? It just cost you 3 gens and I'm not nearly the best looper on the team.
Smh!

I absolutely love the deathslinger reeling headbanger.More people should do that :(

When they killers move their head up and down or left and right at you

No actually that sounds kind of funny but the killers that I go against only do it after they've won. Though i did have a brave legion knod at me when he finally got me on first hook. I'm like you won't be knodding for long my friend.
1 -
I'll nod/shake at them if they start teabagging/clicking at me and then go down in about 0.3 seconds. Have the skills to back up your nonsense plz
Good or chill survivors are treated with more respect.

i HATE IT though they waste the damn pallets like there is no tomorrow...

I appreciate you. The demo knodded at me because he wasn't catching me quick and he downed me last and just followed me crawling knodding at me to let me bleed out after he hooked everyone
1 -
I only nod at the ones who drop a pallet and feel the need to T-Bag whether they stun me or not.
Then proceed to body them, because they aren't worth their salt
2 -
Yeah some killers take it weirdly personally if you don't go down quickly. Demo nodding does look pretty funny, less so if you're left to bleed out tho I guess.

I like nodding with Billy after hitting a chainsaw. It’s just feels silly so I like doing it 😜

I think Opie meant knotting
2 -
I usually just use that to signal that 'yeah, this match isn't working out for me, wanna farm? got any challenges? Otherwise I'll just go to a corner, you do your thing, it'll be fine'
I AM VERY CERTAIN THEY DID NOT
3 -
You don't get to have it both ways. If they Killer got a 4K, they clearly are NOT the worst or even average because the worst don't even do well with mistakes. I despise this kind of hypocritical nonsense. When you get out played by the Killer or Survivors, you were simply out played.
3 -
You tried the slow motion teabag payback with pig? That's where it's at, especially if another survivor comes to boop the snoot while you do it lol
0 -
Just because you 4k doesn't mean you're good. Lots of the survivors are ######### at the game so when you've got at least two of them in a game you're bound to get a 4k or at least a 3
1 -
I usually nod at toxic Survivors when they get outplayed so hard. Like a match before where I played Huntress and I picked up someone in house of pain in Haddonshield, started going to a hook but this Jake was so overconfident, he vaulted the pallet, didn't expect me to instantly double moonback to smack him down. I would've been embarrassed If I was this Jake.
Also when people try being cocky while you carry someone into the basement and they jump into the locker and wait till you hook that guy to then jump out. Little do they know, I can go up to the hook to bait a hook just to quickly press S while they move their outplayed arse out of the locker.

That isn't the point. All games are about who makes the most mistakes. If the Survivors made more and the Killer made less (or took proper advantage) you give credit where credit is due. I'm so sick of some Players being hypocritical louts. I'm going to do a blooper reel of end chat to show this off. Please note that I will use the word "trash" in places of a wide variety of insulting hate-speech names used by Players when they insult someone. I often see the following:
Killer Wins with 3-4K:
- You are trash Killer and only won because of your broken add-on(s).
- You are trash Killer and only won because of the map.
- You are trash Killer and only won because of the stupid mistakes of THAT Survivor(s).
- You are trash Killer and only won because of lag.
- You are trash Killer and only won because of toxic play (tunneler, camper, slugger, etc.).
- You are trash Killer and can't win without a Mori.
- Yadda... Yadda... Yadda.
You want to know what I never hear (even when it is true MOST of the time).
- Good game Killer, you outplayed us at every turn.
Why do you think that is? Why is it there are certain Players who can never OWN their own failures nor give credit where credit is due to the other side? Good sportsmanship is based on being humble in victory and gracious in defeat. A key component in that is not making excuses or trying to demean someone else's accomplishments.
7 -
Good sportsmanship isn't completely unheard of, I just got a gg wp from a nea who was left to go into struggle and then slugged for ages right after being unhooked (someone unhooked her when I was nearby again and I had corrupt purge) so had a bad time overall. Maybe I've just been lucky but most other players I've encountered in post game chat since switching to pc seem reasonable enough (with exceptions)
2 -
True enough, and I do run into the good sports now and then. But sadly, most people say NOTHING or make excuses for their loss or try to demean the accomplishments of others. I had a TTV guy on Midwich earlier today. He got out via the Hatch, but all the rest died in a 3K. He laid into me with the normal garbage: Tunneler, Camper... you didn't give them a chance.
I never hooked the same person twice in a row. And if I had been camping they never would have gotten the 3 hooks each. I record my videos and offered for him to watch from my perspective. Of course, he didn't really want that. He didn't care about those other Players either. He was just mad that I made him and his entourage look bad on a live stream. So, of course... must demean my victory.

I shake my head if a survivor makes a big brain move like dead harding into a solid wall.
I nod my head If they legit just out played me hard but I finally caught them but it cost me tremendously.
2 -
ive never seen someone misspell nod
2 -
Yes, this is a really common occurrence. When it's an obviously bad killer that took 5+ minutes to catch me they're so proud of themselves...and then I'm shocked to find out they're red rank. They will obviously proceed to tunnel me out of the game as hard as they can.

Its crazy right ?? Like congrats
1 -
i swear it had a k in the beginning

I just go by how they play and if they get successful mind games on me. If they don't then i consider them average. If i get away from them in situations where i shouldn't then they're bad. Also depending on how fast my team goes down i consider them bad but its gotta be fast for me to say they're straight up bad
0 -
Nodding is like teabagging they're both bm. Annoying but it happens I'm no saint I've done both multiple times
0 -
It's a nod of approval! The killer is clearly just saying that you have outplayed me. Well done!
1 -
I shall admit sometimes I feel like nodding is appropriate.
Failed cj techs, questionable flashlight blinds allowing killer to legion tech, teabagging survivor behind a pallet slightly missing the timings and dying to a hatchet, failed corner techs and so on.

take it as a compliment. He is enjoying his prize for the difficult catch, and gave him a run for his money.

I give a quick nod-seizure to the last Survivor I down in a match when I intend to give them the hatch.
I have no idea what it looks like, but on Blight, I imagine it looks a tad silly.
0 -
I generally nod back at Survivors who start pointing at me or some other weird attempt at communication. As a Killer I only have two things I can do to respond, i.e. nod or whack something with my weapon. I rarely understand what it is the Survivor is trying to convey to me, so I just nod like I do and then kill them (or try).
0 -
My favourite is the Freddys that spam 20 snares around a mindgameable pallet then nod after they down you. Good one.
I only nod at survivors when I’m memeing or giving them mercy/the hatch.
0 -
Never really tried up & down, as console sensitivity is meh, but I try to side-to-side before picking up a survivor I'm trying to give the hatch to.
Sadly, I think they either misinterpret me or just don't catch it, as most keep struggling anyway, which prolongs the game even longer when they escape. At that point i twirl and dance for them until they inevitably find the hatch.
