40 messages from a fellow survivor
...telling me I was being reported for working with the killer for yeeting myself out of a locker.
It made noise, so he knew where we were, which is clearly working with the killer. CLEARLY.
I hope that makes you all smile like the first 30 or so messages did for me. Once he hit the 40 message mark, it was just pathetic.

I usually point at killers to try and meme with them during matches, and sometimes they take it as me trying to give away a teammate's position. I just like acknowledging their presence and I forgot that being a jerk is a possibility and I felt so bad!! I would never sandbag, I just wanna have fun!

Yeah I've done the same thing. They turn around and I'm like, no I'm not ratting out sometime, I'm just being like, I SEE YOU, VILLAIN.
This guy was mad at me because it turned out it was a Bubba and I guess I was supposed to just stand still and get mowed down? I left the loop where he was hiding so if the Bubba came after me, I was screwed. Bubba chased the other guy, and he did a decent job, and then of course he killed himself on his first hook and watched me keep playing while he sent me these insane ramblings.
40 messages. He needs help.

If you made noise that drew the killer directly to your teammate and then abandoned them, that's pretty easy to see why they called you out for working with the killer. Doesn't matter how you intended it, only how it looks from the video evidence in the report, should a report with video evidence get submitted.

It must be a nutbar kind of night I've gotten two death threats and plenty of salty language out of only three games as killer.
Sigh I wish there was a solo play variant against bots. I hate people, especially giant angry man babies on the internet I'm forced to play with because thats the way things are.

You're allowed to fast vault. The killer came over, we both ran. How is that abandoning him? Should I have stayed at the loop and perhaps unintentionally sandbagged him? I left the loop so he had the pallet. I was 100% going down if the Bubba came after me. He chose to chase the other guy.
You're actually trying to tell me that fast vaulting out of a locker could be considered trolling? Come on.

TWO DEATH THREATS? Good lord.
Yeah I get a lot of nasty messages from fellow survivors. Some straight up have told me they messaged the killer to let them know where I was. I know I can turn my messages off but it's kinda annoying to constantly have to turn things on and off because DBD is such a toxic community.

Pointing is a way to show killers where a teammate that is hiding and holding the game hostage. So it may be something to be careful about.

Oh yeah on a regular basis, I get told to catch cancer, COVID, hang myself, slit my wrists, run over by a car, those who wish they could stab you, etc etc. I've turned off comments.
I've discovered it doesn't matter how scummy you play either, you could play the cleanest game in the world but if that one guy who can't hack it dies they'll let you have it and if they escape they'll let you have it more.
Now my self esteem isn't tied to a game so I don't really care and I study animal behaviour and to a lesser extent human behaviour so the mentality of people who do that interests me somewhat. Fear and aggression response etc.
But its not pleasant and not warranted. I fear the community is getting a reputation for being like this, which may turn other gamers off. Several of my friends have quit playing.
Its a shame because the majority of my game experience is positive and generally the community is pretty good, but some nights its like every game has some really toxic element to it and I think its not a good night to be on and call it.
At the risk of starting a PC vs Console garbage fight, I feel it has gotten worse since cross play.

You did sandbag them, you called the killer directly to them for no apparent reason which directly caused them to go down. There's no escaping that, no matter your intentions.

When I first found out what button points I would randomly do it ALL the time to killers. One time I did it not knowing a random teammate was where I was pointing and the killer caught them. They were definitely pissed and tried to get the killer to go after me the rest of the match when they were alive. 😂

You're not getting banned for that. Even with video evidence which is highly unlikely.

I'm not worried about getting banned. I mean he did report me but I literally fast vaulted out of a locker. I'm not at all worried about that. It's just insane to me that someone would be so angry about someone playing in a way they don't approve of that they would send me 40 messages before I blocked him.

So I need to run Bond and not ever fast vault anything, ever, if anyone is near me? Should I slow vault on my way to make hook saves if that means the person will go into struggle? Should I bring green keys with add ons for greater range? What are the rules that I must follow so that other people are happy with how I play this game?

I see your 'getting reported for pointing' and raise you 'getting reported for wallhacking because clearly that's what small game or bitter murmur are doing'

Small Game, my emotional support perk. Especially as a solo survivor, Ruin is so much stronger now than it was before. You should definitely be banned for it though.

No, you shouldn't be fast vaulting things outside of chase or trying to distract the killer. You already gave the example as to why.

You're funny. Thanks for the laugh. Do you have any other rules I should follow?
