Not one game today with a green rank survivor. highest rank i got was 7 while the other 3 being red ranks. Im rank 9 atm as killer and i guess survivors figured out that the matchmaking is terrible. My girlfriend also plays dbd and is a rank 14 killer. A Killer at this rank SHOULD NOT GET a full red rank Squad!
At this point as a not godly killer you will get destroyed most of the matches. And the survivors know that, t Bagging at every point in the game where its not punishable.
Pretty good job letting new players going against the best. But hey, we got some skins i guess.
Good game in theory, but toxicity destroys it and the Devs dont do anything.
I chase a Rank 1 survivor until i have bloodlust 3 so huge waste of time but i wanted my BBQ stacks at least. Then Theres this pallet on lerys which you HAVE TO DESTROY to go on because its litterally the only way. 45+ seconds of chase lost because of a un mindgamable god pallet.

would like you to see play chess against a grandmaster and "improve" while losign again and again to a player thats way out of your skill range. This matchmaking is bullshit. Oh i hooked someone in the basement, as i hook him the other dude came with me and goes for the unhook imediately, i get a hit he runs out i dont want to tunnel and the other one with borrowed time is body blocking me because its a free hit. nice game

BHVR opened up matchmaking rank range in an attempt to put a bandaid on the lack of killers playing.
It has really kind of backfired since newer killers are now being put off by the game because they are constantly facing much higher ranked opponents.
However survivors out number killer by over 4:1 so they are primarily concerned with their experience.

A killer playing this game for 2 weeks and got rank 14 peak is put against a 4 Stack of red ranks 80% of the games. "opening up matchmaking rank range" to what? up to 19 ranks difference? that a wide scale if you think about how many ranks this game has.

Only rank 1 and 2 survivors can be good. Red ranks are so watered down now that ranks 3 and 4s are garbage. They are yesterdays green ranks.
Ive had some who dont know the basics of the game or make the same mistakes as green ranks. Just had a game where 1 suicided on 1st hook a minute into the game against a LF, i then looped him for about 2 mins for my daily and only 1 gen was done in that time.
Red ranks are dead

My wife tried killer at rank 19 and got two red ranks, a purple and a rank 14. Needless to say, she got destroyed. Did not help they toyed with her the whole time as opposed to just getting the job done and going. Don't even ask about after match chat. It was nuts.

And most comments say variations of get gut instead of adressing the game is so unbeliavebly unfun for new killers atm.

Some red ranks survivors are carried by their swf. You will eventually see mistakes after mistakes. Go for the weakest link. If you can keep the pressure going you should be good. If not then it a gg especially if one survivor know the loops like the back of their hands.

Why don't you run noed, tunnel or camp when necessary? It's a lot more fun, dont play buy survivor sheep rules.

There are many pallets on every map that you absolutely have to destroy but there are ways to make the game less infuriating...
Run enduring. I run it on almost every killer and it feels so good to not need to give a single ######### about pallets. Also if you get a hit through a pallet with enduring a lot of survivors will end up running away from the pallet, allowing you to just catch up to them easily and get a quick down. Don't mindlessly break every pallet because some survivors just expect you to do that.
Learn when to break chase. If there are survivors making a beeline straight to a god loop or on a dead side of the map there's usually no point chasing them unless you know you can quickly down them. Or if a survivor's just good at looping you might want to consider breaking chase because it'll take too long to get them.
These are just two tips I sort of picked up myself and it's helped me so they might help you... (Other people can add to this or discuss the tips I suggested because I'm really not sure if it's good advice but it works for me most of the time lol)

I know this is very late but for all the new players i would say you should probably play survivor to start so that you can learn the game and how things work. You learn playing killer by playing survivor and vice versa you learn playing survivor by playing killer. You might also want to grind up a lot of bloodpoints and dump them into getting one solid build on a strong killer. For me i played a TON of survivor and if you run perks like We're gonna live forever (David King) you get double bloodpoints, or running into a SWF survivor to stack bloodpoint offerings with other people trying to do the same thing as you so that you can spend your hard earned bloodpoints on your killer until you get a full purple loadout. Once you can do that on your selected killer (you probably want to start with someone easy i started with PIG) and slowly learn how to run things. you will then start ranking up very fast especially if you have good knowledge of them game by playing survivor and knowing their strategies, then you should have no problem progressing into the purple ranks very fast and if you play enough then into the red ranks.

So here's the issue you are running into if my suspicions are correct. The killer pool is so low right now that in order to keep the queue times lower for survivors the game grabs the first available killer. Now if there are more variables to be taken into consideration with the coding I'm uncertain but I believe that's how it works. Unfortunately for you every time bE does something to piss off killers they stop playing killer so folks like yourself and your gf get the short end of the stick.
