Can survivors deny Blights rush?
I've seen survivors stick really close to Blight during a slam. Does that actually prevent his rush, or is it a waste of time?
I'm asking this before I post another thread just to verify some information.

I also want this information as a blight player.

When he hits a wall and i know hes gonna get me, i 180 straight back at him n go the other way.
It all depends how close to the slam i was but if im close, he's wasting his swing and im gone.

But does it actually work if you're close enough to him?

You can if you barricade him next to a wall and he doesn't spin fast enough, survivors don't count as collision for him to slam against. But, you can try and turn to hit a nearby object if you are being held still. They can make you slide out of your direction if not in a lethal rush.

No, but if they're too close it's very difficult to actually attack before they're behind you.

No, you can still Rush, but if you want to hit them you basically have to swing the literal frame you enter your nest Rush.

You can still physically hit them no matter how close they are, it's just a tactic which tricks most blights because it makes them panic.

He doesn't run through survivors but doesn't bounce off them either, more he just slides against them. Because he doesn't bounce off them, he can still rush if they're right up against him, unlike when he is up against a wall and facing it. However it can be harder for him to hit them if they are very close when he starts the rush, since he needs to rush and then swing instantly, and that can be difficult for newer blights.

There actually are some situations in which survivors can deny the blight his rush anf forcing him to wait out the cooldown but it's suuuper rare and more an accident when it happens.
I think i could post a clip later.

you cant hit while in a slam state or your first rush and it feels like there is some delay to when you enter a lethal rush to when you can swing.
if you can get close enough blight cant hit you consistently

I know that if you do a frame perfect lethal rush right as you press the lunge button, you'll lunge out of the slam.

Yep,you can pretty much immediately attack after your slam

Blight Main, here.
Survivors will often get real close to a Blight who slams next to them, because doing so makes it really hard for Blight to time a Lethal Rush quick enough to hit them if they do so.

That was the clip i was talking about. You can block him during his first rush but it's pretty much impossible to do so most of the time
