Does the Entity turn people evil? Can the entity shapeshift into things?

This might be a self-explanatory question and you're probably thinking I'm an idiot right now, but I wanted to talk about this a little bit more in depth because it's interesting.

In Plague's backstory, it mentions that she was a priestess and she cared very deeply about her people. But the part that interested me the most was this:

Her followers and she realised the truth in that cave: they were all infected with the plague. Kneeling among her retching followers, Adiris made one last prayer.

I can infer from that sample of text that Adiris was very protective and loving of her followers. However immediately after she made her last prayer, it says this:

The black fumes of incense rose into the damp air before being wiped off by a cold breeze.

What is very interesting to me is that after she made her last prayer, the entity took her in and we now know her as this bulimic vommy mommy. It makes you question if Adiris feels any remorse when she's sacrificing survivors or if the entity made her completely emotionless.

well there are some thoughts that the Entity could be evil itself and it influence people to do bad things.

however we don't know if the Entity is responsible for the people doing bad things or if it brings people who done bad things to its realm so they can continue to do bad things.

all we know is that the Entity does what it does for survival. as sacrifices feeds its hunger

as for your question with the Plague, when she made her last pray and the Entity answered, she believed the Entity to be god after saving her, so she would follow every command that the Entity tells her to do, when she's in trials, she hunts down and put survivors on hooks because she thinks that god commands it. I don't know if she felt bad for the survivors, but she would still attack them because the Entity says so.

that's at least how I see that based on the text.

As others mentioned above, Plague is devoted to the Entity for “saving” her and/or giving her power to carry out it’s will. She probably does feel remorse for the Survivors, but only because they reject her god. Everything they got coming to them, she will be the one delivering with blind faith.

As for the Entity shapeshifting, isn’t the Fog a manifestation of the Entity?

That would mean some of the Add-Ons and items are made directly from it as well.

Or do you mean in the real world, in a way where the Entity IS the plague in Adiris’ story?

I really hope I understood this question.

I mean anything really, it seems like a very powerful entity, so powerful I doubt Pennywise would stand a chance against it.

It seems like the entity's strongest ability is to manipulate objects into powerful weapons. For example, Philip (Wraith) was given the bell when he was a boy, and the entity most likely crafted it into a powerful tool for Wraith to use against the survivors.

It seems that killers like Trapper, Huntress and Slinger had no help in making their kit powerful by the entity as we know Anna had practiced hatchet hunting before she entered the realm (her tome makes her more of a badass), Caleb created his own harpoon gun and Evan's bear traps are only mentioned in one of the Tome stories when it says "Evan's father forces him to set a bear trap in a dark forest.". That's the first it's ever mentioned in Evan's entire lore. So it seems like they had a collection of bear traps when they were working in the mines. The only parts they had help with were the add-ons for their power, because as you said and even in the description for the Iridescent heads, it says "A glass-like Hatchet head moulded from The Fog itself. The blade is warm and reverberating with The Entity's power.".

I'm really inferring that the entity is basically everything and can be anything it wants.

It's mentioned in Plague's lore that all her followers disappeared with Adiris and were never seen again, however we don't know where they went. The entity most likely killed them and made Adiris into a killer.

I mean, it's possible that it means they never found the bodies of her people, they were in a cave and it's possible that they never found said cave.

It's possible that the Entity only took Adiris and everyone else died in the cave and were never found.

Just adding my two cents here:

Trapper, Hag, and Plague all have one thing in common. They never initially wanted to live this life, but the entity made them to. Trapper is the prime example. He wouldn’t put metal spikes into himself intentionally. Followed by Hag. She lived a normal life until she got abducted. Then the entity gave her unending hunger. And Plague is a mixed bag, because she believes she’s doing the right thing. She believes it’s her god(s) speaking to her and telling her to do this.

As for the entity thing, yes it can. It prefers to be mostly spider tentacle things but it’s also the map itself, so

Plague kills in the first place because she thinks that the entity IS the god that she's been worshipping so wouldn't you do anything for a god?

Spirit only kills because of rage she actually pity the survivors but at the same time she has to kill

Trapper refused to kill until the entity tortured him so he could give in

The legion (susie) mind has been corrupted by the entity so she could kill
