I would rather just one weekend of double BP....
....over this 10k BP every day for a month they seem to be dead set on.
I mean, honestly, I would prefer none at all, because there is something that feels so disingenuous about so little bloodpoints that it kinda depresses me a bit y'know? I mean the other stuff is cool, all the charms and sweaters and stuff so it's hard to knock the event as a whole; but honestly these tiny blips of bloodpoints feel almost insulting.
I hate to say that about anything you get for free y'know? But it actually bothers me to a point I feel like if they gave me literally nothing BP wise I would be happier?
Like just knowing that's all they feel comfortable with giving out, makes me doubt how much they actually care about players or the event they are supposedly giving up other things to focus on going forward?
I dunno, I'm not angry or anything it just makes me kinda sad, I booted up the game today and it did that little "here's 10k blood points" and I dunno, my mood to even play has been fairly low since that; because it just makes me feel like they are out of touch with folks maybe? I mean, they seem to know that folks have a problem with the level of grind in the game supposedly, but then 10k bloodpoints a day? You get double that if you do a daily even, or a single node in an archive which is there all year, is it really THAT special for a holiday event?
Anyways I am just rambling tbh, try not to take too much stock in anything I'm saying. It's just been in my head since this advent calendar thing started.

I think people are just frustrated that they've been pretty stingy about double bp events for over a year now. We had a decent one for 4th anniversary but with the grind increasing per each chapter release the blood hunts should be more frequent, not less.

Yeah the grind has been growing and growing; and it needs a big change. Thing is, if they think 10k bp is a big deal, and I know someone is going to point out "yeah well that is 300k just for logging in!" and it's like yeah but we used to have things like double BP days and you would make tripple all of that in just one day, and it actually gave you incentive to actually PLAY the game as well.
They talk about how much time events take and so on and so forth, but the one thing that takes the least amount of time and effort; is the one thing they are just growing to be more against. I like the rest of it, I mean the sweaters and such are great but like....I dunno, I just feel like they are making fun of us or something with it when I see the 10k.

300k in ONE MONTH. I can get 300k of BPs by playing 5-6 matches as Killer with BBQ in one day. That's ridiculous, this event is ridiculous and stupid.

The iri shards are the real gifts. Those are not as easy to get and we’ve gotten 1,500 so far.

They really ought to just have a double BP weekend once per month. It would be a nice consistent thing to look forward to. Make it 3x BP for holidays/anniversaries or something.

But you can now afford an ebony mori and a faint reagent on your blood web with that 10k!
All kidding aside I always appreciate getting something over nothing. I was looking at the wiki and.... is this right? Was there zero blood hunt events in 2020? I thought there was one with the 4th anniversary event but maybe I'm just thinking about the ghastly gateau's. There wasn't one for the Scarlet Swarm or Eternal Blight, correct?

Yeah most of the other stuff isn't bad; but you could do a 12 days of christmas that has more meaning, there is no need to make everyone log in every day just for 10k BP there is no point.
It seems like they could have just done 12 days of christmas, each day is a sweater or a charm or something, and like either 100k BP, or a few iri shards or something.
Have Christmas eve, day, boxing day be double bloodpoint days as well to help mitigate the decreased queues for folks that want to play on those days.
New years eve and day could be double BP as well; and w/e else they were going to do that day. Like it wouldn't take much to make people pretty happy.
Yeah that is what I am saying, I mean if they were making some huge change to the grind suddenly, like idk perk ranks were going to be unified to always just be the max rank effect or some big change like that to make the massive perk grind not as overwhelming- then sure, bloodhunts wouldn't be necessary at all. Thing is I don't think they are planning any real changes to the grind.
I mean, a break from the grind should never be considered a "reward" but when instead of a break from a grind you're giving a strong reminder that it exists....I dunno I honestly think they are just making fun of us or something.

Whaaaaaaaat?
Aren't you grateful that they're giving you ONE DAY of bonus BP over the course of a month.
Wow, what entitled players.

To be fair it's about 300k, but I mean if we had a bloodhunt for one day, I could make a couple million in one evening since it works well with offerings.
Also I bet the survivor queue times would go down during bloodhunts because killer usually awards more bloodpoints so some folks might actually bother to deal with the frustrations of killer for that.

The reason they're doing it this way is they want to boost their player numbers. You don't need to play to do that, you just need to log in once a day and boom, their player numbers for that day look high, even if you didn't really do anything. A Bloodhunt only boosts players for one weekend. And for some reason BHVR takes their Bloodpoint economy very seriously, keeping the grind frustrating.
Also, for anyone saying they're giving players something for nothing, that's not true: they're giving you 10k BP a day to boost their player numbers. That makes investors happy and translates into actual money for BHVR. (Please, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, I don't want to spread misinformation. This is how business works, though.) Given the stupid grind of this game and how unrewarding it can feel at times, plus how Halloween was an absolute nothing of an event, wanting a bit more out of the advent calendar doesn't seem entitled. Don't get me wrong, the advent calendar's nice, it's better than nothing, but it could be better and it'd be as easy as a higher BP gift which would cost them literally nothing while still artificially boosting their player count. There's nothing wrong with pointing that out as long as people keep their expectations realistic, both in not asking for the moon and also not expecting BHVR to change their plans whatsoever because it's super highly unlikely they'd change their planned rewards.

I imagine there is probably some truth in that even if it is just a theory.

they acknowledged that the grind is to much, yet they do little to nothing about it Bloodpoint event wise,
"woohooo 5 days a year double Bloodpoints!"
0 -
I mean that would be something we are not even getting that....
3 -
look at sea of thieves, weekly events all 3 month a free big update, every Friday double gold, and other stuff
dunno who is in charge community events wise at bhvr, but you can clearly tell that this person is not doing his job, is very inexperienced ... or there is none

I dunno, they don't really have any community managers either. I've seen the title once or twice but they don't actually...do...that....so I don't know what is up with that.
I'm not asking for a lot; but it just seems BHVR is acting....strange....lately, and not telling us really what is going on. I wonder if they even can.....

It's free stuff regardless of whether it's 10bp or 10,000bp. It's stuff you get for literally just logging on, zero effort etc. There are games out there that give you nothing. Yes it's nice, yes it's generous to get extra stuff. But they don't have to do any of it. A little gratuity goes a long way. Don't feel entitled for free things.

First week of December: 1000 Shards
Second week of December: 500 Shards
Are you guys ready for next week's 100 free Shards?
And make sure to log in the game on Christmas day for 15.000 free bloodpoints instead of the usual 10.000!

This could be somewhat rectified if we could sell junk offerings/addons to get 75-90% of cost back

The 10k is kind of hilariously small. Like... hey, thanks, this will cover 1/6th of a single bloodweb
I feel like a kid being handed a nickel. Thanks - if I get 4 more of these, I can buy a gumball!

300k is 2 of my Double BP Matches.
10k a day is a joke. It's nothing, it's dust.

I mean, I would literally rather nothing. Like this feels like it's meant to be some passive aggressive insult or something.
I would genuinely feel better if they had done nothing in its place.
Furthermore; claiming entitlement when the desire is only a brief reprieve from an induced grind; is rather hypocritical in it's own right when you think about it. That is like when a corporation builds a factory near a poor village; and starts poisoning their water and killing them; but starts giving them jobs at that factory and telling them they should be grateful for it- that's not generosity.

Anyways, it helps knowing I am not alone in being disappointed with this. It just feels so shallow and it bothers me, it's less about the actual event and more about the message I feel is behind it....
