Freddy kind of needs either a revert or another rework. Old Freddy was fun but weak, New Freddy is strong but boring. What could BHVR do to find the in-between?

Freddy's killrate is high because, as is blatant from the structure of the killrate statistics, the ease of playing a killer is FAR more important than how strong the killer is. That's why Nurse/Blight/Huntress/Demo are well below their level, why Clown is above all of those, why Pig/Bubba are high up, why Freddy is easily no.1 as he's by far the easiest to play.

Thats not even remotely true, granted there are plenty of lacking players but they improve..its folly to balance around players that won't always be that poor

Pubs are easy enough to have escape/killrate of more than 90% if you're fairly decent. Most players are awful, just how it is.I don't think the top players should be balanced around, as I think the game is survivor sided at the top level but this not the case in public matches which I'd say are pretty well balanced, but it's absolutely inarguable that statistics like killrate are indicative of a killer's strength, and funnily enough most killers I'd describe as difficult (such as Nurse, Blight, Demo, Huntress) who are really good when used by a good player but poor when used by an average player, fall below the likes of Clown, Myers, Pig, weaker killers in need of buffs. I mean the easiest killer in the game is #1 too, even though he is definitely not the best, I don't really have more to say because atleast to me the patterns are very obvious.

The people who think it’s a bad judgement are the boosted forever Freddy mains who can’t end a chase quick enough and need to make the game go for more than 30 minutes.
Try getting good at a killer that requires actual mechanical skill to play.
You Freddy mains are the equivalent of Moira in ovetwatch.

Freddy basekit is strong, mobility, slowdown, snares destroy loops and pallets are fun but not effective.
Game needs balance guys, chill.

I dint get why all the killer stuff has to be "engaging" survivor items and objectives arent "engaging" looping isnt engaging it is tedious because the killer has 0 control in how the chase goes. I think Survivors need to be forced to engage motr

Yet he's not overpowered, even mclean said he didn't feel competitively freddy was overtuened, which means he's getting hit for the same reason as his first version..noob crushing

Queue times are already kinda long for survivor. Eventually their killer changes and weakening of perks will catch up to them. I hope that mid-chapter patch includes improving those perks they wanted to improve, i think they were iron maiden, blood echo, fixated, lucky break and fixing dead hard. maybe they need improve more killer perks or something to get people playing more killer. Freddy changes are huge waste of development time and resources.

Yet, slowdown is a great mechanic for killers...because it stops gens from popping fast. This just sounds like someone saying they're mad that they can't rush to pop the gens and actually have to have a plan of attack to balance the sleep mechanic with doing gens.

Plan of attack? How do you plan of attack when ur only objective is to do gens? There's no balancing the sleep mechanic either way you're going to waste huge amounts of time whether you try to push gens or wake up, there's no decent option for survivors.
Slowdown is not good for killers when they get it for free, it's just ridiculous. And especially these days where chases often end within seconds if the killer is any decent. Once again this is not 2016 dbd, if you're struggling to keep gens undercontrol without insane passive slowdown then that's a problem for you.

I think they need to just rework how he functions somewhat..Like bring back his old dream demon skill But, let him keep his other skills as well...So, he has to put you to sleep..But, when he does..you are basically #########.
It,would bring back the mind games but also,give him a weakness which can also work in his favor. Imagine people repairing a gen and not knowing you are going that way cause they are awake.

Freddy doesn't have passive slowdown without addons unless you give it to him, thats on you

Yes he does because you need to wake up otherwise he has almost instantaneous teleporting and can spam snares on you.
Also almost every Freddy runs jump rope swing chains.

It's just annoying seeing this amount of bad players. Like if you can't counter Freddy - then how do you honestly expect to counter any good Killer with a power that doesn't just make them a m1 killer with simple counters. Freddy has 2 counters, and that's too much for these people, and these are the people BHVR is listening to. Ayeaaa this game is seirously going to just be a repeated version of Deathgarden, because of these idiots.

Being asleep means you're gonna be affected by his snares/pallets and a reduced cooldown on freddys teleport.
Faster teleport = more potential map pressure
And how do snares not work against good players?You always force an early pallet drop or free hit as soon as they are asleep.There's no real way play to around his snares once you're asleep

Just like clown, drop the pallet and keep forcing kicks..I figured it'd be obvious as clown is bottom tier for the same reason..difference is freddy doesn't waste as much time

if you don't want him having pretty much unlimited tp u need to wake up. And snares are still extremely strong against the best players. That's like saying clowns bottles do nothing at loops, it's nonsense.

Clowns Bottles only help if the loop is unsafe, same with the snares..and his tp is far from inginite..thats just plain ignorant

Your not getting it..if the loop is safe, then the slows are useless..because they don't affect pallet sliding..so every safe pallet is a shield against their powers

There's so few limited amounts of pallets these days that if survivors just pull every pallet instantly they will be left with nothing.
