Why survivors must see icons about killer's perks and add-ons?

Survivors can see some perks for example dying light or franklin's demise..

survivors can see some add-ons for example legion's smile or doctor's chess or freddy's add-ons

survivors can see time for franklin's demise...how many time have survivors to take medkit or repair box

BUT

Killers can't see deep cut

Killers can't see timer of pig's trap

Killers cant see info about perks and survivors add onns

and i have 1 question

Why survivors can see info about killer?

Maybe better that noone see info about perks and addons?

You see Franklin's when Franklin's gets used (on you directly, I believe). Same goes for add-ons. This knowledge isn't free.

You could make a case that killers should be notified about survivors' perks but this would have to be a perk in itself because nothing in DBD should be free.

Generally speaking you are notified of things directly affecting you and this applies to both killer and survivor.

Survivors see dying light, franklins, leader, prove thyself, ect.

Off the top of my head boil over and DS show for killer.

As for deep wound, it is to prevent you from using the bar progression to figure out what the survivor is doing.

RBTs don't show the time I presume to discourage trap tunneling and so it can't be used as a chase indicator.

So that survivors don’t get confused, and assume the killer is hacking or cheating in anyway.

Killers can't see timers because if they could, they would abuse it. Pig at one point could see the timer of the Pig Trap, what happened? Almost every Pig went to stop the survivor from getting their trap off after the timer reached a specific point.

It's yet another double standard. Killers can see DS but we already know that it's what caused the stun. Same with power struggle. But survivors see all kinds of killer perks, even ones that they shouldn't like Thrill of the Hunt. Imagine the outrage if killers got a notification when a survivor used Dead Hard or Sprint Burst in front of them.

Because it's so hard being a survivor.

Well most perks and add-ons are pretty easy to deduce if you have eyes or notice how slow an action is - so not telling them anything at all just screws over new people trying to learn the game. I mean if you want easier kills against those kinds of people - they're already pretty easy.

The point is that there's no notification for one side when there is one for the other. Survivors can see Sloppy, but killers can't see Botany. Survivors can see Devour Hope but killers can't see Borrowed.

Killers cannot see botany because they are not being healed. Survivors can see sloppy because it is applied to them, not the killer. Survivors can only see Devour Hope at 3+ tokens if the killer hits someone because it is applying the exposed status effect to them not the killer. Killers cannot see Borrowed because they are not being given the Endurance status effect.

Yeah but how did that change, pig can still do that by loistening

    ^ this.

It should always be known what is happening. Not everyone has Hundreds of hours, and if someone loses their Item due to Franklins, they should know WHY they lost it. Or if someone cannot see Hooks close to them and has a hard time walking while carrying a Survivor, they should know that a Perk is doing that.

In the Postgame Results they can check the Icon and see what exactly the Perk or Add On does.

Not giving any information would make the game pretty confusing for newer players.

That changed a lot, in a similar fashion as to old legion being able to see the progress in deep wounds or plague seeing the illness progress. Effect on you are showed to you effects on others are not. Legion, Plague and Pig apply their effects on other players, so they cannot see the progress.

Survivor games would be way more fun if we were completely blind to what the killer is using. Without any notifications, survivors would have to play tactically and adapt.

Some of the responses are being silly. Survivors don't see when someone has pop, they're able to infer based on the regression and explosion. why would a killer see a perk that doesn't afflict them? Besides probably every red rank could easily deduce the perks of killer has. And about the hex perks, there needs to be notification to trigger certain perks like soul guard.

@Aven_Fallen of course...newer players...newer players...but new killers dont understand how survivors repair gen so fast with red new item or how they heal so fast killer not see this..

and fun situaiton for example with freddy

freddy has power..survivors sleep but survivors will know when they will run in dream but it must know Freddy because it his POWER!!!

or why survivor see ghostface timer???

    lul

There's a huge difference between being within 6 meters of a survivor to hear the beeping, and having that information freely available at any given moment from anywhere on the map.

Well whats it matter if you can see the timers cuz you dont know where their last boxes are

This is a massive stretch at calling bias, even for you. Come on man you're better than this.
