How do I make myself not feel horrible after 3 awful losses.
I just played 3 matches as Killer and got absolutely destroyed every time. I'm not tilted, the survivors played well, it's not their fault I'm being matched with them, but they were ridiculously good and I was ridiculously not. I'm a green rank Hag main.
I feel like garbage now and I don't really know how to not feel like garbage after times like this. I'm sure most red rank killers went through stuff like this, how do I get better without feeling awful about myself?

Don't feel that way, you're learning. The best way to avoid this feeling is to have a set focus and work on it. You will always have bad matches, but with experience, they will become more infrequent. They will be always there tho, so you need to learn to administer the frustration that comes with it. If you're having a bad streak, leave for a while, watch some good content creators or even you recorded matches and try to look for something you didn't see before/ask yourself how you could improve. Next time you play, try to have that in mind and well, have fun :)

DbD has the issue with killer loses were some of the time they aren't your own fault.
Match making/Bugs/Map spawn RNG.
It all makes losing these games as killer feel awful because there is legitimately games nothing you could have realistically done better.

Set a goal outside of kills. Tome challenges, dailies, or achievements can work, or doing something specific with a killer. Just something so that if you don’t kill anyone, you can say to yourself, “at least I got two basement hooks towards my challenge.”
Losing isn’t a big deal, everyone loses. People with 5000 hours lose. Big streamers that people call “the best X killer” lose. People who flex on the forums lose. The key is to stay conscious of that and focus on something else - a separate goal, or just trying to improve at a certain thing over time.

Play another game and learn not to be so affected by loses. Nobody is pressuring you to reach perfection in this game, learn to enjoy it, at the end of the day thats what it was made for, to have fun with.

A lot of the game is just luck more than anything so try not to feel beat up about it.

I personally always take a break when it gets this way, before my head spirals further downward. I also try to avoid playing killer at certain times because, although SWF are mostly a non issue, at peak periods I see dedicated 4 man death squads that show just how truly broken this game can be sometimes. This is why survivor queues during peak periods are so long. Players that usually play killer won’t put themselves through that torture during those times.

If you know it's bad match making and you're still learning the game, why do you let it make you feel bad? Most of the time when I play killer, I go into the game assuming I will have unfair match making and just try to work on getting better at something. Focus on that. Make smart plays, work on something specific. It's not about how many kills you get.

What do you think I should work on? I know that as Hag, you're not supposed to loop normally, but somehow it always ends up with me getting outlooped. Should I place traps while chasing? Should I try to get better at chasing itself, as in, play more typical M1 killers? I try to practice mind games but it feels like if I mindgame, they don't try to loop they just run, but if I don't they loop for days.

This can be a rough game to have fun with.. if you're here to have fun. Vodka is almost required half the time.
What is your build? Strong SWF groups can wreck Hag especially.. between flashlights, meta perks, and 110%; it can be rough.
If you're a dedicated Hag, I'd recommend watching Michi.

My current build is Ruin, Third Seal, Thrill of the Hunt, and (insert any perk here.) Usually that 4th perk is Surveillance or Make Your Choice. Any suggestions?

Oh I have no idea about what to work on with Hag. Definitely not my area of expertise. I'd watch some Youtube videos on Hag if she's who you want to learn and then work on those things. But don't let this game make you feel bad. You know you're still working on learning and that match making is garbage. There's nothing you can do about that.

Search SpaceCoconut on YT. He is an extraordinary Hag.

Just don't be attached to winning and play the game for fun.

It is difficult for the game to be fun when a hardcore squad do everything in their power to ensure the killer has a miserable time, and feel totally powerless

Corrupt intervention is quite a must on hag, it allows you to place some traps strategically (thinking ahead to where they'd run to if caught, defend a particular area around gens).
Another great perk on her is monitor & abuse, which allows you to sneak up on them - also works great paired with Nurse's calling + Sloppy (they'll spend time healing since staying injured against hag is a bad idea).
Don't chase with hag (or if you do, use traps to block/confuse them). Otherwise just hit them and go on with your business placing traps, let them think they're safe and you'll either find them healing somewhere (if you run Nurse's) or when they trigger a trap.

Corrupt intervention could help. I've noticed Monitor and Abuse can let you get pretty close. You can also set up a 3 gen scenerio at the start and make a web. Hag is fun but a lot of the time for me, it's feast or famine.

DOn't think that way, man your life is alot more important then you know. This game can hurt to play sometimes. DOn't let it cloud your worth believe me you don't want that. ITs happened to me, you shouldn't be put through that, your still learning, if you want to ask for help, either go to @Slashstreetboy , @Wamps , or @MandyTalk there good people

My personal build for hag is save the best for last, bbq, sloppy butcher and pop goes the weasel. If you have save the best for last, i recommend you use it on hag as i think it's her best perk, it will allow you to get downs from traps relatively close together with the reduced attack cooldown. Trap any loop, and don't chase around loops without placing traps.

Its hard man, just had 3 bad losses myself and im rank 10. You just gotta shrug it off and, if possible, applaud the other teams skill and think "they deserved that". However, i did get tilted at my 3rd loss cause i didn't down anyone, and this David kept teabagging mid chase. I made it my goal to down and face camp him but i never even got a hit in. Arrrgggg

Don't be too hard on yourself. DBD has an atrocious matchmaking system, and unfortunately the only way to get better is to constantly be kicked in the nuts over and over. Not to mention it would help significantly to have a practice mode where you could at least practice the basics.

Remember to take breaks from killer periodically for your own sanity. We all get bad matches, try to learn from them but also recognise when survivors actually prioritise gens, there's very little you can do. I've had matches were i didn't play badly but survivors were incredibly efficient and co-ordinated and that's something the killer can't control.

Understanding why you lost is a big stress reliever for me, if I had a bad match I can look back and see why I lost and do something about it. If I notice I had a bad early game, I'll run corrupt and focus more earlier.
There is some times where you lose even though you played perfectly, that's on you to just acknowledge that this games balance and core design isn't very good with perks like DS, UB and OoO still existing. Same for survivor, having Ruin Undying exist makes matches hell bent on RNG and being a useless teammate getting totems.
Plus sometimes you just have a bad game, or bad day in general where DBD isn't being very nice to you.

Get It in your head that it's just a game, you wont get payed for playing It so whats the point on being mad at it, or yourself?
If you win that's ok, if you lose that's ok too.

Bring a mori next game.. or wait...
But seriously, if you feel that bad, you should take a break. Anger is not good for health. Play other games that are more relax like single player games.

Its hard to tell convince yourself that your not trash. I know I do. But honestly the best way to approach it is each match is practice for the next. Try to learn what you did wrong, but also what you did well. See what your strengths are. Try to play both sides to understand how they interact with each other. After a loss, take some time, take a few deep breaths, and just give yourself a bit. Take a long break if you need to. Wins can always come later.

Ice cream.
I suggest Chocolate Marshmallow.

I would say put on an ebony mori to make you feel better but now we don't even get that.
