Why toxicity is bad with this type of game.

This stems from it being an asymmetrical game. Each side is distinctly different from each other and that people tend to stick to one faction. So people that play both are quite rare. In reality those people have the clearest vision. They know that tunneling is annoying having been tunneled as a survivor but also understand it's necessary to do it as killer when your in a sticky situation.

Same thing for gen-rushing. To survivors it's extremely annoying to have someone not do gens so survivors aplause people that do it, killers are frustrated by this however because they can't play the game. Also note that Gen-Rushing is when gens are more important that saving or when it's finished and the counter doesn't update. Essentially when survivors just don't care and focus exclusively on them.

Also its not that survivors want quick games it's that its efficient to have one or more people on generators at all times. This causes gens to get completed really quickly because survivors aim to have at least one person on gens at all time to maximise efficiency it's not because they're toxic.

Another common thing killers do is slug, this helps slow a game down and give them some pressure as a survivor ands incredibly annoying just crawling on the floor and waiting to be healed.

This game is incredibly toxic because generally both sides dont play the other. If they did then only the truly toxic people that just want to be mean would remain.

I also like to say something about the typical perk combos

Undying/Ruin: This is lower survivor efficiency and buy more time for the killer. It's not toxic and requires some luck and skill to pull off.

DS/UB: This is a precaution to stop tunneling and Slugging all together. This isn't meant to be toxic but it has side affects like making you annoying to deal with, I agree this is annoying but it's the design of the perks not the player.

I hope this clears some stuff up ^^

Toxicity is bad because it's bad. End of story.

Toxicity has lots of causes, if someone is toxic because of personal issuss that it's understandable they need some help from friends or family. Of course just being mean to be mean is disgusting.

I play both sides, and I can say with total confidence the Survivor side is the one filled with more BAD WORD people. "Toxic" Behavior from Killers is most of the time them just doing things Survivors don't like, often because its effective and it works (Ex: Camping, Tunneling, running NOED, etc). Toxic Behavior from Survivors is often completely unnecessary garbage, like teabagging, or waiting at the door for a last-minute taunt, etc.

Yeah, Killers might hit you on the hook and nod/shake their head... but that doesn't draw out the game. Refusing to leave a match because you want some tiny bit of last-second chase points while mocking the Killer is toxic as heck.

The truth is, killers do play survivors.

But there's lots of survivors who barely plays killers. Or not at all.

They have the loudest voice and think the game is unfair. They are entitled and don't even know.

The easiest way to fix this would be to incentivize playing both sides.

There's a number of ways you can do this, but this is how I would do it:

    1. Separate Killer and Survivor daily rituals. 1 Killer + 1 Survivor ritual every day, and rerolling a ritual doesn't cause it to change sides.
    2. Fix the bugs. Survivor queue is currently years long because playing Killer right now is suffering.

Making me play Killers i don't want to already ruins my mood and incentives me to tunnel and camp to get the sacrifices as fast as possible, making me waste my time and resources leveling up the other side isn't going to help that,

What is needed is for a tactical and strategic reason not to tunnel, and to remove sacrifice conditions from dailies/challenges with specific characters, that will help on killer side, for survivors, put crouching on a cooldown so it can't be spammed as a taunt,

You've clearly gone over the in-game toxicity topic, but what about the Official Discord Server toxic members who literally make people leave the server? Or actually manipulate moderation to troll people? Or all the bull crap going on in the voice chats? It's so toxic in the official server that thousands of small DBD servers were started just to get away from the toxicity!

Yeah I think plenty of people play both, because let's be real, the BP are usually better if you play killer. At least, if you play killer well.

People being mean just to be mean, and being unable to do anything about them, that's another matter entirely. For instance, one of my friends got in a game with a Trapper who body-blocked them in a corner of the basement after everyone else was dead. There was literally nothing they could do to escape except disconnect and take the resulting penalty. Eventually the Trapper disconnected, saving them the trouble, but it was bad behavior for no reason except to ruin someone else's time.

Meanwhile, there's a whole host of people who exclusively play Insidious Bubba builds and chainsaw as many people down as possible so it's impossible to help one another, then stand in front of the hook chainsawing them over and over as they slowly die. It's got nothing to do with not understanding the other side. These players know exactly what they're doing. They don't care. They're deliberately malicious because they enjoy ruining a game for other people.

The truth is..This game became streamer bait..and once something becomes streamer bait Toxic level raise. Because, before the streamer raise the game had 70% less dickheads.

Streamers, don't like losing. So, they help "promote" some of the more questionable stuff people do.

By DBD nature It is mainly a competitive game..There is not free mode (or many modes when you think about It) Other then ranked PVP.

On top of that from a Killer pov having the Entity (Displeased) only drives you harder up the wall. But,even then playing the "Intended way" does no favors for either side as It basically does reward people who play in meta as killers and people who are SWF goons..People who wanna do their own thing as Killer or people who Survive solo get punished for not running the MId/max way of doing things or even trying to be "Fair" in the Killers case by not camping people to death only to be met by gens being rushed and tbags and palleted looping..And surviors playing solo gotta usually deal with teamates who ingore them when they are on the hook and Killers who seem to be tent enthusiast.

The deeper you go into rank, the deeper the butthurt and dirty ######### becomes.

One is a nod. A NOD.

The other is simulating putting one's genitals in another person's MOUTH.

That's not even close to an equivalent.
